################################################################################################# General Build Notes ################################################################################################# Overview This build is a work in progress to create a SSF viable / League Start viable build that fits my preferred playstyle. I wanted to have access to Eldritch Battery and have a focus on using ballistas to stack poison. I wanted the build to not be tied to the current league mechanic and to not be reliant on specific unique items. I would eventually like to get the build narrowed down enough for hardcore in the future, however I am very new so I don't expect to feel the need to dip my toes into hardcore for a while. Pros/Cons: Either Or - This build is ballistas and damage over time (poison specifically) some will love that others will hate that Pros - Great regeneration from pathfinder and flask uptime - poison ramps up and should have very high DPS without you needed to stand still or aim - Phasing on kill and near permanent onslaught (silver flask) and movement speed buffs (quicksilver flask) allows you to quickly move through maps Cons - Enemies will die behind you so you will backtrack for any and all loot if you are zooming at all (you should be) - Make sure you have a good loot filter so you get alerted to things worth turning around for - Evasion and Armor are not very high you are very dependent on the delayed damage of Petrified Blood and Lethe Shade. Leveling configurations of skills are available on the skills tab - If you are having mana issues drop a support for Lifetap on your main skills - You can swap the Mirage Archer setup from Toxic Rain to Frenzy if you prefer to not have a manually cast set of Damage for the Shrapnel Ballista seems to not be calculating correctly - Shrapnel Ballista has 3 projectiles base + 4 from GMP + 4 from Arrow Nova = 11 total assuming we get +2 projectiles on our gear and not all projectiles hit we can say around 10 will hit per shot. We get 6 ballistas by default 7 with Wilma's Requital, assuming we are basing this on rare gear only we should have 6 * 10 hits per attack We also can poison with the shots from Frenzy although it will deal less damage With the current setup we have 1.75 attacks per second so we should be stacking up at least 70 stacks of poison per second poison lasts a little over 4 seconds dealing 3.7k damage per second The 2 million number for the full DPs I think is calculated for a short burst of attacks and does not include the ramp of stacking more and more poison so damage should hopefully feel much better - If Shrapnel Ballista does not feel good you can try the Siege Ballista setup, the Barage Support allows it to shotgun too There are a few things you will need to figure out for yourself based on your gear after the campaign - You can fix these with your gear or with moving nodes on the tree - Cap spell suppression - Cap Ele and Chaos res - reach 100% accuracy - Enough mana that with reservation from tree you can fit Petrified Blood, Precision, Herald of Agony, and one of the 50% reservation damage auras - Getting a divergent Herald of Agony is very important until you can get one with quality for chance to poison you will want to put a few more points into a poison cluster for more chance to poison (should only need about 15%) - it is worth trying to convert as much of the damage you are taking to elemental damage as you can since evasion and armor are low. This will let your resists cut the damage before petrified blood spreads it out to let you regen it back. If you can get phasing on kill from jewels or if you do not care about phasing you can drop the points from the freedom of movement tree, you can also cut the jade/granit flash you have left over in late game for a quartz flask Which in the level 100 version of this will give you 4 points back which will allow you to pick up the jewel node by the Charisma notable and have 2 points left or you could pick up the mana mastery by the dirty techniques notable to gain 12% reservation efficiency to make your auras fit better and raise the level of your precision higher The large cluster jewel in the tree is a stand in to show where those passive points are being used. It is not set up to reflect an optimal or desireable jewel for this build. ################################################################################################# Leveling Guide ################################################################################################# Respec Points Note: This guides leveling section uses 15 respec points during the campaign and uses another 5 transitioning from the level 84 no cluster gem setup to a setup including a cluster gem This means you will need all the respec points that are available in the campaign so you may need to backtrack to grab those at certain points or you can do them on the way Act 1: - Pick up and level Vitality/Clarity/Precision once they are available - Steelskin on move button once available - Do tidal island for skill point - Get quicksilver flask quest reward - Clear flooded depths (use portal trick) - Lower prison lab trial - Do caves in shipwreck for fairgraves quest. Finish quest. - Use the ring recipe (Iron ring + blue skill gem) to get ~60% cold res for act 1 boss. - Finish act Act 2: - Exit camp to the right - Do den quest take belt for STR stats or second quicksilver to go fast - Crossroads waypoint to chamber of sin. Do lab trial and quest - Back to crossroads go to Fellshrine ruins -> crypt for lab trial, skip quest unless you need respec points early. - Back to crossroads go broken bridge kill Kraityn - Left out of camp - To wetlands kill Oak and get waypoint - Go to Western forest. - Kill Alira ( same side as waypoint) - Kill blackguards, go to act 1 hub for skill points after opening the path - Go back to Western forest kill weaver - Continue through act Skip dread thicket and finish the act - Pick up Summon Skitterbots Act 3: - Talk to Clarissa on way to encampment (must do) - Can skip the encampment of you don't need vendors - Crematorium lab trial and quest - Do the busts quest in sewers for skill point - Catacombs lab trial (near market waypoint) - I'm market skip the flask it's for a respec points quest it's long do it later - Go to battlements, go left and find the waypoint. Left of the waypoint is the spool. - Continue to upper left for docks get the thaumetic sulphite - Return to battlements and go to Solaris temple to get quest items from earlier combined. Also get the INT stats necklace and flat damage recipe from the nearby room. - Return to sewers clear. Lockage and go to ebony barracks. - Kill gracious at upper left section of ebony barracks - Go to imperial gardens do lab(straight up from waypoint) and library quest - Clear lab for ascendancy - By now should have your main 4 link for the campaign - Back to ebony barracks go to lunaris temple kill piety and grab flat damage craft - Clean up any quests you want to do and try to get some resistance (fire and lightning) and life on gear - Go to the imperial garden then scepter of god, finish the act. Act 4: - If you can fit in Determination do so, if you can and have decent armor swap Steelskin for Molten Shell this is more armor focused. Alternatively you can use Grace and Steelskin with a jade flask this is more evasion focused. Alternatively you can use Purity of Elements and Steelskin with a jade and granite flask this is for builds that do not have a good defensive focus. You may not be able to get this set of skills online currently work towards it going forward. - Most skills are available at some point in this act. Act 5: - After Kitava work on fixing resisances(fire and cold are most relevant at this point) Act 6: - Complete the prison lab trial Act 7: - Complete the chamber of sins lab trial - Complete the crypt lab trial - Can now do the next lab (+2 ascendancy points) Act 8: - Bath house lab trial Act 9: - The tunnel lab trial Act 10: - The ossuary lab trial - Can now do final campaign lab (+2 ascendancy points) Post Campaign: - /Passives to make sure none were missed - Grab any missed respec points (wrap up side quests) - Grab a more strict item filter (bases I care about and valuable items only basically) - Farm to level 70 if you rent there yet - Before seriously mapping aim for decent gear, level 70, 6/8 ascendancy points, capped or close to resistances - If your attributes aren't to bad you can use three different colored skill gems + an onyx amulet to "scour" the amulet and roll for better stats with chance, alchs, ect Mapping: - Use tytykillers atlas progression strategy of clearing up to your highest then farming 2 tiers below until you get a drop for the level above (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAeYx7pD_P0) - Take the atlas passive short route to get to Kirac daily missions and at least 2 sustain nodes (sea land mountains etc) - go to the right taking short paths - take the vertical section up to the first cluster of shaping nodes (more maps) - take the path angled up to the left above that first shaping node to reach the extra daily Kirac mission - path to at least one more shaping node for better map sustain - from there spec into one or two other mechanics for better rewards - Grab some essence and expedition nodes for good early gear this currently seems to be the best general option for now - Use gambling (Tujen) and currency conversion (Dannig) vendors, you can use Rog if you know how to use him for crafting - Watch out for bad modifiers - Enemies can't be poisoned (ailment immune) - Enemies can't be cursed (hexproof) - Any anti totem or poison mods ################################################################################################# Skill Notes ################################################################################################# Shrapnel Ballista/Siege Ballista (6 link)(* is important other supports are options) - GMP (Shrapnel)/Barrage (Siege)* - Arrow nova* - Unbound ailments* - Vicious projectiles - Added chaos damage - Deadly ailments - Swift affliction - Efficacy Frenzy (6 link) - Mirage archer - GMP - Pierce/faster attacks/increased duration - Hextouch - Temporal chains Despair - Increased duration Steelskin Flame Dash Immortal call (level 3) - Cast when damage taken (level 1) - Increased duration - Lifetap/enfeeble(if Mana not an issue) Auras (fit what you can * is mandatory) - Herald of agony* - Petrified blood* - Precision*? - Vaal haste(use both) - Malevolence (haste is probably better since duration is not needed) Socketing: - 6 link ballista in armor (there is a unique chest with build in added chaos we want to work towards) - 6 link Frenzy in bow - Auras in one piece ( helmet probably but shouldn't matter) - Immortal call setup in one piece - Despair+supports, mobility, and move defense (steelskin/vaal molten shell) on last piece ################################################################################################# Gear Notes ################################################################################################# Cluster jewels: - 8 passives for large, 4-5 for medium - Looking for: - Damage over time - Damage - Totems - Chaos damage - Chaos damage over time - Projectiles/pierce - Bow skills - Life - Spell suppression Jewels - Ailment immunity - Stormshroud - chance to avoid being shocked applies to all elemental ailments (boots can give 50%+ with essence of torment, (abyss?) jewel can give another 50%) - Ancestral Vision - 50% of spell suppression applies to elemental ailment immunity (we should have 50% since 100% spell suppression, boots shaper suffix can give some also essence of loathing so boots can give a full 50%, armor can get up to 35% too so it can be split) - Subtractum video covering this note there is a third option but its less good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5IjasMZ1dA - Corrupt blood immunity - Life - Damage stats Armor - Evasion rating/energy shield should be best - Note uniques for this build will result in extra chaos damage so chaos res is very important - Look for - Maximum life - Resistances - Spell suppression - Int/str - Accuracy - Damage Weapons - Get a 6 link now and craft the +3 bow (see crafting notes for walkthrough) - Quiver priorities - % global accuracy if struggling to hit 100% - Totem placement speed - % Chaos damage - Attack speed - Looking for similar stats to armor but focus on damage also looking for these as a priority - Poison damage And chance to poison - Attack speed - Pierce - Extra projectiles Flasks - All flasks want a recovery rate affix (more is better to maintain 10p% uptime) - Divine life (longest duration for good flash) with increased Mount recovered over longer duration - Silver flask with attack speed - Quicksilver flask with move speed - Jade flask with increased evasion - Elemental flasks (EX. ruby for Searing Exarch), taste of hate for general use once acquired. - Granite flask with armor (only early on and when I have armor) - Can also run a reduced recovery & recover faster/instant life flask for more recovery and bosses. - ALL FLASKS SHOULD HAVE CAST WHEN EFFECT ENDS OR CAST WHEN FULL TO AUTOMATE UPTIME!!! - for endgame you can run Life flask, silver, quicksilver, Taste of Hate, and Progenesis. - If you are missing Progenesis and Taste of Hate you can use a jade and granite flask and swap the granite flask to elemental flasks when facing bosses that have specific elemental effects, you can also drop the granite flask for a quartz flask if you want phasing and do not have it on the tree. Anoint - Vengent cascade should be very good (if you are using a normal amulet get this and find a +1 pierce on your gear or with skill gem quality) - More projectiles and pierce as well if using stranglegasp for more anoints Items to watch for while leveling: Skirmish Storm Cloud Quill Rain Bloodgrip Karui Ward Items to watch for for endgame: Darkscorn Assassin Bow Snakebite, Assassin's Mitts The Covenant, Spidersilk Robes Wilma's Requital, Solaris Circlet Taste of Hate, Sapphire Flask Progenesis. Amethyst Flask Stranglegasp, Onyx Amulet Bloodgrip, Marble Amulet (if you are using this you will want to also use Vitality) ################################################################################################# Crafting Guide ################################################################################################# These crafting notes are from Zizaran's toxic rain guide these are some very powerful bases to hunt down Farming Porcupine Early on you'll want to farm a set of The Porcupine divination card. You can do this in the following maps: - Courtyard - Orchard - Terrace Best endgame bow(+1, +2 support gems, chaos damage over time, attack speed, chaos dot mult) 1. Alteration roll a Hunter Thicket Bow(ilvl 78+) for T1 attack speed 2. Regal 3. Annul until you have only the attack speed left, if you miss start over 4. Craft "Can have up to 3 Crafted Modifiers"(2 divines) and "Cannot roll Attack Modifiers"(1 divine) 5. Slam 2 exalts(closing eyes is optional), this will guarantee +1 socketed gems and chaos damage over time 6. Remove crafted mods 7. Craft "Can have up to 3 Crafted Modifiers"(2 divines), "Chaos Damage Over Time Multiplier" and "+2 to Level of Socketed Support Gems"(2 exalts) 8. Done! +2 amulet Method 1(Requires Sacred Lifeforce) 1. Alteration roll an amulet for +1 to all skills(~2000 alterations) 2. Augment + Regal 3. Hope you hit a suffix, if you don't you're gonna want to use a Bestiary beast to move a prefix to suffix, and hope the +1 all skills doesn't get removed 4. Craft "Prefixes Cannot be Changed"(2 divines) 5. You should now have an amulet with 3 suffixes(including the crafted mod) and 1 prefix(+1 all skills) 6. Use the Harvest mod "Add a new Chaos modifier and remove another random modifier from a non-Influenced item" 7. Now you have an amulet with 2 suffixes, and +2. 8. Craft Prefixes cannot be Changed(2 divines) and scour 9. You could just craft a prefix to block now, exalt slam and then multimod and call the amulet finished. If you want to invest a bit more at a slight risk you can continue with these steps: 10. Craft "Can have up to 3 Crafted Modifiers"(2 divines), "Prefixes cannot be Changed"(2 divines) and any prefix(life for example) 11. Use the Harvest mod "Reforge a Rare item with random modifiers, including a Chaos modifier" 12. This will ALWAYS roll Chaos Res, and USUALLY roll only 1 suffix. If the chaos res is low or you rolled 2 suffixes you can go again from step 8. 13. If you rolled chaos res as the only suffix, you now multimod to finish up the amulet. If you rolled 3 suffixes you just craft life and call it a day. +2 amulet Method 2(Requires more divines than method 1, no Sacred Lifeforce though) 1. Alteration roll an amulet for +1 to all skills(~2000 alterations) 2. Regal 3. Hope you hit a suffix, if you don't you're gonna want to use a Bestiary beast to move a prefix to suffix, and hope the +1 all skills doesn't get removed. YOU WANT A RARE WITH +1 all gems AND 1 SUFFIX NOW 4. Craft Multimod(2 divines), Prefixes Cannot be Changed(2 divines) and Suffixes Cannot be Changed(2 divines) 5. You should now have an amulet with 3 suffixes and 2 prefixes(including crafted mods) 6. Use the Harvest mod "Reforge a Rare item with random modifiers, including a Chaos modifier" 7. Now you have an amulet with 1 suffix, and +2 to chaos gems once you remove crafted mods. Best Endgame Quiver(can be really expensive, both in Harvest juice and raw divines) 1. Get an ilvl 86 Hunter Broadhead Quiver(you can use Harvest to swap a Shaper or Elder influenced one to Hunter pretty easily) 2. Spam the Harvest mod "Reforge a Rare item with random modifiers, including a Chaos modifier" until you hit both normal dot mult AND chaos dot mult of a tier you're satisfied with. 3. Make it so the 2 dot mult mods are the only 2 suffixes. You can do this with annuls, if you remove one of the dot mults you have to restart(can you see why this is going to be expensive yet?) 4. Make sure there are no prefixes. The easiest way to do this is to craft suffixes cannot be changed and scour. If no prefixes are attack mods you can also craft cannot roll attack mods and annul(and recraft it if the cannot roll attack mods craft gets removed). Cannot roll attack mods and scour DOES NOT WORK! 5. Craft cannot roll attack mods 6. Slam an exalt, this is guaranteed to hit 1 of 3 mods: life, damage with bow skills or movement speed. 7. If the tier of the mod you just slammed is good enough for you, go back to step 6 again and repeat until prefixes are full. If you don't like the tier you'll have to go back to step 4. 8. Finish the quiver off with an attack speed craft
