Very nice to have
Timeless Jewel with 2+ nodes of 3% energy shield per power charge. Try not to travel more than 2 dead nodes to reach the notable.
Gravens Secret -> 100%+ energy shield recoup
Shavronnes Ring -> 2k ES
Unnatural Instinct + Light of Meaning attributes -> (Don't have to solve attribute on gear + gives intelligence (es))
Split Personality es/int -> 600+ es when allocated in designated spot on the tree
Impossible Escape Supreme Ego + Massive Thread of Hope -> saves a lot of passive points, enables different timeless jewel combos


Biggest upgrades cost efficiency.
Crown of Eyes corrupted with + 1 power charge.
Ephemeral Edge corrupted with fortify on hit.
Look at Middle Tier PoB for next upgrades.



Other:
Watchers Eye - Any of those mods works, clarity mana as es is the best.

Nodes to take out if not level 100:

I would take out damage usually, but if you feel like your tankyness is fine then take out some of that instead.
If you are using frenzy of onslaught as your main damage skill I would definitely unspec the mark the prey wheel.

For flicker strike users:

Generate frenzy charge with frenzy of onslaught if you are running out (kinda clunky).
Consider getting a timeless with more nodes of frenzy on hit, might have to sacrifice some energy shield per power charge nodes.
If having trouble with frenzy charges and packs, consider using The Green Dream jewel, or having an amulet with Disciple of the Slaughter annointed.
Also precursor emblems have frenzy charge on hit explicits, should be able to find one without a big damage loss, though finding one with es per power will be tough.
Nature's affinity doesn't work with Flicker so unspec that and grab some damage or tank.

Pack Clear:

For better pack clear have an extra badge of the brotherhood annointed with tribal fury.
Also Awakened Ancestral Call is usually cheap and makes pack clear even comfier, can swap out volatility for that for clear.

Dps Rotations:

Use Battlemage's cry before using smite twice to proc conductivity / frost shield. (only for the non-sublime vision users)
Sublime vision users will use some other attack to proc the curses / frost shield, or manual cast. The dps is good enough I don't think its really necessary.

QoL:

Put Ambush on left click, it's a nice button to get close to mobs (if you are using flicker for main dps, this doesn't really apply)
Phase run has 100% uptime because badge of the brotherhood. Careful using it if you are using flicker, it will consume your charges.

Other:

Impossible Escape combined with the timeless jewel can save you a bunch of points, consider calculating different timeless jewels for this combo.
Reduce or increase your immortal call level depending on available mana / how much strength you have.
Adrenaline uptime can be extended on bosses with worm flask.
Original Sin users, I suggest using balance of terror with despair for wither. Feel free to pair that with withering step for maximum uptime of 15 stacks.
To use or to not use mageblood. I think in most cases you will want to use mageblood, you will be losing out on the 100-150% energy shield recoup which feels really good, but your ele max hit will go up quite a bit and gearing is easier with mageblood.

Overleech:

If you want overleech there is a trick with ghost dance that you can use, where you have evasion as close to your max es as possible but just under it, so you cannot recover es to full. 
Some timeless jewels will have a lot of increased evasion available as well. So you can use grace + a few of these nodes + mageblood and worthy jade flask and you will have enough evasion to justify using it.
