Comparing Splitting Steel and Shattering Steel from my experience with both skills:
-Splitting Steel, even after the returning projectile was made weaker, is still a good choice and worth playing. It's great for taking down single enemies, but it's not the best for clearing out groups when mapping.
Both skills are good, so just pick the one you like.
2H Sword
Terminus Est - An excellent and budget-friendly weapon that provides free generation of frenzy charges, attack speed, crit chance and pdps.
Rare Exquisite Blade with increased physical damage, flat physical damage, attack speed, and critical strike chance is superior to Terminus Est but more expensive.
If you find in poe trade a sword with 600 pdps, attack speed, and critical strike chance in the price range of 5-10 chaos orbs, buy it.
