It's a crucible modifier that can spawn on weapons, and we'll be focusing on the ball weapon because it has a high tier version of the modifier.
When your totems die, they explode and deal a lot of physical damage, up to 600% with the highest tier of the modifier.
This is what carries the build, and you don't even have to craft your weapon to start playing.
