Notes

This is a leveling guide for my Cold Blade Vortex, future Magic Find build (POB:   https://pobb.in/MQ-xsWA4SCDF and https://pobb.in/lNzctoJ3oAms )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Act 1:

Goals for this act:
- Get Movement speed boots
- Get B-G link for Frost Bomb, B-B for Frost Blink, and G-G for Blade Vortex. Keep B-B-B and B-G-G linked items if you get any. 
- Do the lab trial and two passive quests: The Dweller of the Deep, The Marooned Mariner

Use this to highlight vendor items: nne|b-b|g-g  
Keep an eye out on Nessa, she can sell you a good wand with Spell damage or even +1 Physical skill gems. 

Gems:
- After Hillock go to town to pick up Freezing Pulse from quest, link to Arcane Surge(don't level up Arcane Surge) 
- Go to Mud Flats and tp to Tidal Island to do the quest
- After Hailrake go to town to pick up Elemental Proliferation Support, Frost Bomb and Frost Blink from quests.  Link Frost Blink to Arcane Surge. If you have extra blue links fit in Ele prolif with Freezing Pulse.
- Go to Prison, get waypoint and tp to town to pick up Added Cold, link to Frost Bomb
- After Brutus pick up Clarity from quest and buy Flame Dash from Nessa
- After you pick up The Cavern of Wrath waypoint go to town and pick up Blade Vortex from quest. Link it to Added Cold and Added Lightning (you buy this from Nessa)

Act 2:

Goals for this act:
- If you don't have a second Quick Silver flask you can do The Den quest from The Old Fields to get one. 
- Kill all Bandits for the two passive points
- Do the two lab trials, from The Chamber of Sins Level 2 and The Crypt
- Make sure you do the extra passive quest The way forward
- To prepare for your next gem link start looking for a B-B-B item and a G-G-R-B or G-G-G-R four-link.

Gems:
- After killing Fidelitas pick up Herald of Ice and start using it. 
- After killing the Weaver pick up Controlled Destruction from quest reward and keep it.

Act 3:

Goals for this act:
- Do the 2 lab trials, from The Crematorium and Imperial Gardens
- Make sure you do the extra passive quests: Vistario's Secrets, Piety's Pets
- Keep looking for 4 links G-G-R-B or G-G-G-R and a B-B-B-B one
- Try to get Vaal Blade Vortex by vaaling Blade Vortex gems, buying from trade or doing Vaal SIde Areas

Gems:
- After Crematorium pick up the Frostbite curse gem, Also buy Hatred 
- After killing General Gravicius and turning in the quest(no usefull gem rewards) you can buy your Vortex gem from Clarissa
- We need to do Library to pick up Inspiration and Hypothermia gems. By this time consider buying the Hrimsorrow gloves for full cold conversion. 
- At this point, or whenever you have the sockets for it your new links will be: 
									 Blade Vortex + Added Cold Damage + Inspiration + Hypothermia(or Added Lightning)
									 Vortex + Controlled Destruction
									 Flame Dash + Arcane Surge
									 Frost Bomb, Frostbite, Clarity and Hatred. (Keep leveling Herald of Ice for later)

Act 4:

Goals for this act:
- Do the first Labirint to pick up your first Ascendy points: Void Beacon
- Make sure you do the extra passive quest: An Indomitable Spirit
- Try to cap your elemental resistances on gear and get all the sockets and links you need(Don't forget you can craft resistances and life, if you have empty prefix or suffix, in your hideout)

Gems:
- After completing the Breaking the Seal quest pick up Summon Stone Golem gem
- After you killed Kaom and Daresso you can get Unleash support as a reward gem. Also buy Bonechill and Hextouch supports from Petarus and Vanja.
- At this point, or whenever you have the sockets for it your new links will be: 
  								  Blade Vortex + Added Cold Damage + Inspiration + Unleash
									Vortex + Bonechill + Hextouch + Frostbite
								    Flame Dash + Arcane Surge
									Summon Stone Golem, Frost Bomb, Frostbite, Clarity and Hatred. (Keep leveling Herald of Ice for later)

Act 5:

Goals for this act:
- Make sure you do the extra passive quests: In Service to Science, Kitava's Torments
- After finishing The Key to Freedom quest pick up the Granite Flask

Gems:
- After you take the Mana Mastery with 12% Mana reservation efficiency you can start using Herald of Ice
- No other updates here just complete your link setups if you have not managed to do so yet.

Act 6:

Goals for this act:
- Make sure you do the extra passive quests: Fallen from Garce, The Father of War and The Puppet Mistress
- Do the lab trial from the Lower Prison 

Gems:
- After we have allocated Sovereignty on the Passive tree we can add Herald of Purity, you can buy this in Act 2 from Yeena.

Act 7:

Goals for this act:
- Do the lab trials from The Crypt, The Chamber of Sins Level 2
- Make sure you do the extra passive quests The Masterr of a Million Faces, Queen of Despair, Kishara's Star. 
- As the reward for The Silver Locket quest pick up Quartz Flask

The Pantheons after Act 7 are Soul of the Brine King and Soul of Ralakesh

Act 8:

Goals for this act: 
- Do Cruel lab and pick up the Frigid Wake ascendancy. 
- Do the lab trial from The Bath House
- Make sure you do the extra passive quests Love is Dead, Reflection of Terror, The Gemling Legion

Act 9:

Goals for this act:
- Do the lab trial from The Tunnel
- Make sure you do the extra passive quests Queen of the Sands, The Ruler of Highgate
- Try to get gear with more Resistances and Life to be ready for the Act 10 Kitava resistance penalty and early maps.

Act 10:

Goals for this act:
- Do the lab trial from The Ossuary. We do Merc Lab just before going into The Canal to kill Kitava. We pick up Profane Bloom as the 3rd Ascendancy
- Make sure you do the extra passive quest Vilenta's Vengeance. Also after you kill Kitava talk to Lani to get the 2 passives for An End to Hunger. Write /passives in your chat and check if you have all 24 extra passive points. 
- Going into maps, gear wise, we just want to cap our Resistances, get more life on our gear, have 25-30 movement speed boots

Gems:
- After Merc Lab we can look to buy a Mark of Submission Ring and add Frostbite to it. A Curse on hit ring is need to activate Profane Bloom. 
  If you cannot get this you will need to start using a Blasphemy + Frostbite Aura setup, but this means that you will need to drop Herald of Purity.
