ACT 1

Start as a Marauder as Duelist does not get Smite

Ideal 3 Link: 
Smite - Ancestral Call - Added Fire or Faster Attacks
Dash/Leap Slam

Make sure you upgrade your two handed sword as soon as possible.
Key Items: Rustic Sash - 2 x Iron Rings

If you need cold resistance for Merveil buy a blue skill gem from Nessa and sell Iron Ring + Blue skill gem for a sapphire ring

When you unlock the +1 strike mastery drop Ancestral Call for Added Fire

We like +1 strike as if you position slightly away from the enemy Smite can double hit


ACT 2

Feleditis Reward - Herald of Ice
Weaver Reward - Ele Damage with Attacks
(Do not slot this gem until you have flat elemental damage on gear. When phys damage is a small portion of your damage swap this gem for added fire)

If you have RRR links you can run cruelty and added fire/ele damage with attacks alongside your smite gem

BANDITS: Help Alira

You will take the precise  technique keystone at some point in Act 2. When you have this your accuracy has to be more than your life. Run precision until you get the mastery for +500 Accuracy to ensure this

ACT 3:

Buy Anger when you complete the first quest and drop herald of ice
Look out for 4 links. Use Black Market as a good chance of getting a 4 link if you do not get one to drop. Armour and evasion base is best as ideally we want GRRB or if you get lucky RRRB
Your links want to be: Smite - Trinity - Elemental Damage with Attacks - Faster Attacks/Added Fire/Cruelty
You unlock added fire craft and added lightning craft in this act. If you have half decent jewellery craft one of these onto your items. Check you damage split on the tooltip as you want to make sure they overlap. It is normally safe to just craft added lightning

ACT 4: 

Do not complete Lab until you have the leech nodes as this is going to be the first ascendancy that we take. (Brutal Fervour)
When you hit level 38 swap multistrike in for one of your red gems
Keep looking for sword upgrades through drops, essences and the black market
