Notes
Cold to fire should only be used if you have a four link, and can fit it AND Trinity support.
Cold to fire should be dropped as soon as you can acquire Heatshiver, and replaced with elemental damage with attacks.
The upgrade priority for the build, in my opinion, should go as follows:
-Acquire decent starting bow similar to the one in the PoB.
-Acquire Voidfletcher. The flat damage and the void shots indivudually carry us hard early on, combined the item is just redicilously cost efficient.
-Acquire Heatshiver. Even at just high chill and occasional freezes, the item is really efficient for us.
-Acquire Yoke of Suffering
-Acquire Kaoms Gloves for Rage as flat damage carries hard
-Get hold of Immortal Flesh belt with close to 300 regen to allow for the use of berserk against tanky targets. If a 250 is less than half of a 300, do that instead and swap later. The - resistance roll here gets really, really annoying if it's too high, so try to keep it between -15 and -20 if you can.
THESE TWO PREVIOUS THINGS ARE A PACKAGE. DO NOT GET ONE WITHOUT THE OTHER AS IT WILL DO NOTHING. I REPEAT, THEY ARE A PACKAGE DEAL. DO NOT USE EITHER WITHOUT THE OTHER.
-Get hold of ANY lethal pride for strength requirements
-Get lioneye's Fall jewel to enable claw nodes
-Respec
Hyrris Ire should be prioritised early if it's cheap that league. As this items price fluctuates extremely heavily between leagues, the only reccomendation as for how early to prioritise it is "as soon as you can afford it" unfortunately. It's an extremely strong chestpiece and it carries both your defenses and your offense.
The Voidfletcher quiver also helps carry damage really nicely. We have opted to NOT inlcude the void shots in damage calculations as it's difficult to predict exactly how many of them will hit a target, but just reat this portion of the quiver as free damage, sometimes. The important thing is the rest of what it does, and that it is cheap.
The Heavy Belt is used to cover strength requirements as you level and progress early. It will most likely feel somewhat mandatory until you have some form of lethal pride, or rather good rings. Getting too good rings early will feel like a bit of a waste, as you want to replace them with Taming ring anyway.
Though if you feel like you have a better solve for this than the Heavy belt, please do so. The PoB does not need to be followed to the letter, we are simply outlining how we progress this build and how it feels the best to us.
