3.25 CHANGES Due to impale rework and Champion as well, I'm introducing changes to the tree, to the ascendancy and to the gear (gloves). We cannot, in previous pathing hit 100% chance to impale, we can hit max 70% without sacrificing other things. However, we can add additional 30% chance to impale on gloves implicit (eater of world). This is an expensive change, because it requires you to have "Perfect" (tier 1) impale chance modifier on implicit. Lancing steel of spraying lost its added phys dmg but got more scaling from physical damage from weapons and such. This might also be a good buff, as we equip higher pdps weapons, we get even more scaling now. Grace/Determ changes and nerfs will probably impact the build a bit, but higher level bases will cover the differences so that is yet to be tested. Gloves. Changed gloves to be life, spell supp, attack speed (zeal) and chaos res. Attack speed for searing influence & impale chance (perfect roll!) for eater influence. This is instead of overwhelm. ASCENDANCY CHANGES: We are now swapping to Taunt instead of Unstoppable hero/Fortify. Fortify is now our 5th ascendancy, even though it has been nerfed from 20 to 15 stacks (1% dmg reduction per stack). We're also removing inspiration as 5th ascendancy for the Fortify. Taunt gives us the ability to not invest (at all) in the accuracy and that frees up a suffix on gloves. We now take spell suppression from gloves (suffix) instead. That will save us additonal points on the tree. This change will make us "slightly less" tanky in regards to effective hit pool, but taunt has the modifier "take 10% less damage if you've taunted an enemy recently". That, combined with the new base changes will make our hit pool the same or even higher than before. Damage. Damage got a "buff", but we need to invest more into it. Banners are gone, flesh and stone is 1/2 of pride, half-cost, half-bonus which is very good (better than Herald of Purity) and taunt gives us 20% more damage as enemies take that much more damage. CONCLUSION: The build will still work, however things have changed. Dread banner and totem are gone. Enduring cry can be swapped for any other cry basically and if we can fit in new "Flesh and Stone", we get get another "half-pride" aura for more damage. My guess is that the build will still be viable in simulacrum, but we need more updates from PoB and the game. This update was made on 20.7.2024.
