If you feel that chaos res is important for your build, the only best option would be to use the forbidden jewels for Searing Purity. 
This basically means that you take 90% of chaos damage as elemental damage. There is very little space elsewhere in the build to fit chaos res. 
Feel free to dump a rare crit multi jewel and that which was taken.

Penance brand of Dissipation is a ramp up skill. This means you should not spam this skill at the target. Ideally you wanna place not more than 2 brands at the boss location. 
As this prevents an existing brand from getting overwritten by another before reaching its maximum stack. On the plus side, it is much faster to reach the maxiumum stacks pretty quickly. 
Stacking Duration is still good for boss dps to avoid having to re-ramp often times.

Note that Penance brand of dissipation is not the same as the normal Penance brand. Even for levelling, I would highly recommend using Penance brand of dissipation. 
This is an excellent bossing skill and is also very good at running Sanctums. Despite the decent defences, I wouldnt recommend this for mapping compared several other choices out there right now like my scourge arrow of menace.

The build I have for my end game setup uses energy blade. A powerful buff which converts most of your energy shield into flat weapon damage. 
With the help of the inquisitor's battlemage from Instruments of virtue, all of this flat damage is added to your spell skill.
