Notes
> PLAYSTYLE < While clearing you run around with Vortex on left click which should already deal with most enemies. Whenever your Vaal Cold Snap is available you can use it and just Shield Charge through everything like you're playing an RF build. Try to mix in some regular Cold Snap casts as well, since this keeps your frenzy charges up and actually has a target range, meaning you don't have to shield charge to each pack. For single target you'll need a couple more buttons. Vortex, Cold Snap and Creeping Frost should be on your target at all times, as well as Frostbite + Elemental Weakness and some form of exposure(either through gloves(automatic) or Frost Bomb). You also want to keep your Divine Blessing aura up, but since this has a duration it's not as bad as it might seem. You can use Vaal Cold Snap when it's available to push out a bit of extra damage when you need it. The chill thing about this build is that everything is slowed a lot, and having 3M Cold DoT dps feels as good or better as 10M dps on some other builds. > FAQ < How do I get a 21/20 Vaal Cold Snap? In trade league you can probably just buy the "A Chilling Wind", but since I'm not too sure how common it is to farm this yourself the best way in SSF might be farming Alva temples for a gem corruption room and corrupting 20/20 cold snaps. My life recovery feels a bit meh, any solutions? The basic solution to this is that we take Replenishing Remedies on the tree so you can press your life flask quite often, don't be afraid to use it! If you don't like relying on your life flask you can replace Defiance Banner with Vitality(with enough mana on gear you can bring this all the way to level 20), this won't work that well when you use the Militant Faith tech though, since Vitality reserves flat mana and Militant Faith reduces our flat mana by a lot. You can also replace Discipline with Vitality and Tempest Shield, this means you're shock immune but you do want to get a bit more energy shield on your gear if possible. What's this Militant Faith tech? As a Hierophant we get loads of mana, and the more mana we have the more energy shield we get. Militant Faith's "Power of Purpose" node converts this mana to armour AFTER letting it gain energy shield, but BEFORE Divine Blessing cost is calculated. What this means for us: 1. Our mana gives us energy shield(which is defense because of Mind over Matter) 2. Our mana gives us armour 3. Our Divine Blessing is still cheap Why can't I fit all auras? To fit all auras you need Uber Lab and all the aura nodes on the tree, see the "Midgame" tree for the minimum level you need to achieve this. > LEVELING < We start out by leveling with Rolling Magma, use Holy Flame Totem and Flame Wall(keep between you and the boss) on single target. You can optionally add Leap Slam(if using melee weapons) and War Banner(press it just before you want to deal big damage) to this. At level 18-ish we switch to Wintertide Brand and Cold DoT skills, all Cold DoT skills stack with each other, so make sure to abuse that(mainly on bosses). Debuff using Frost Bomb for maximum damage. At level 31 we basically switch to our endgame setup already(just without all the auras). Since you want to spec out of the brand nodes at this point it's not that much of an issue to just stick with Wintertide Brand for a bit if you like it. > CRAFTING < +2 amulet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoyLvvx6S7o
