LEVELING NOTES:

Act 1
-------
Create a Scion Mule, kill Hillock, go to town, get red skill gem reward, look for  3 link items with the right coulours + magic wands -> Put it in stash and log over to witch

Colours to look out for: BBB, BBG, BG, GR, R, R

Currency required: 2-3x Transmutes, 2x Alteration 10-15x Wisdom scrolls (look out for iron rings)

After killing Hillock on the Witch, enter town, grab muled items from your stash and look for missing good coloured items and a magic wand if still needed. 


pick up Rolling Magma (quest reward) and buy freezing pulse.  

Link Freezing pulse to Onslaught and Arcane Surge if you can


After mudflats and Tidal island and pick up the follwing Gems in Order of priority depending on the amount of Wisdom scrolls you have:

Quest rewards: Elemental proliferation (quest reward) - Flame Wall (quest reward) - Frostblink (quest reward) 

Vendor Gems: Holy Flame Totem 

Links in order of priority ( /+ means link only if you have the colours otherwise put at random):

Drop portal at Submerged Passage Stairs and make your way to the lower prison. You  use Rolling Magma as your main ability for Onslaught and Dmg , and drop HFT and Flamewall when needed.
Take the waypoint back to town and go though TP - enter The flooded Depths to kill the Dweller of the Deep

Make sure to keep track of your currency along the way. Your main priority will be to get an Alteration. Usually 3 identified Rare items, when sold to the Vendor, will result enough Alteration Shards for you to get 1x Alteration.
Additionally you will need enough Wisdom scrolls to buy a Iron ring from the Vendor to sell with a red skill gem, it will grant you a white Ruby ring.
Should you be really unlucky, and the vendor didn't sell you a magic driftwood wand, you will also require a Transmute.

In a perfect world you should now be lvl 8+ and able to create your first Caster weapon before entering the lower Prison again.

Create flat Added Fire Scepter -> Vendor 1x white Ruby ring + 1x Magic Wand + 1x Alteration

Quest reward: Combustion

Switch out Elemental Proliferation with Combustion


Make your way through the Prison and Kill Brutus. Always pick up as much rare items as possible and try to get another Scepter craft ready.

Quest reward: Flame Dash

From level 10 swap frostblink with Flame Dash

On to the Cavern of Wrath, do the Fairgraives skillpoint along the way. 
If you are not super unlucky after killing Fairgraives is the latest point where you should be able to create your second added Fire Wand craft

Quest reward: Nothing -> you can pick any red gem for the iron ring into Ruby ring recipe

You can always make sure, before going through Cavern of Wrath and onto killing Merveil to pick up:

1-2x Sapphire Ring cause she deals tons of cold damage
1x Greater Life Flask if you dont have a good one

Makes your life at Merveil alot easier.

Currency required:  5x Alteration, 2x Alchemy Orb or Essence, 2x Ruby ring

Act 2 I usually start by going right into the Old Fields, picking up the Quest for a second Quicksilver Flask in the Den
Pick as many rares as possible, to identify + Sell them to stack up on Alterations.

After Killing Fidelitas in Chamber of sins pick up Heralds.


Quest reward: Herald of Ash

Vendor: Skitterbots


After that go left to the Western Forest and Kill Weaver.

Quest reward: Elemental Focus



Kill All Bandits, Alira last to pair it up with "the Way Foreward" Skillpoint quest. 

You should be around lvl 18 now and your link Setup will look as follows:

(If you have waaaay to many Alterations pick up : Wave of conviction + Desecrate, but keep in mind that you need 2x Alterations later for Sceptre crafts)


Now we do the Trial in the Crypt, picking up the Trial
Then make your Way through the Vaal ruins and go to Vaal oversoul

Throughout all of Act 2 we want to keep in mind our Goal for crafting lvl 20. flat added Fire Wands.

For this we need 2x Alteration, 2x Alchemy Orb or Essence, 2x Ruby ring + 1x Portal scroll

Once we reach Vaal oversoul, we are lvl 21 ~ and we initiate his spawn animation and prepare the Wand crafts and take a TP scroll to Town. 

They recipe works as follows:
lvl 20: Create 2x flat added Fire Wands-> Vendor 2x rare Ruby rings + 2x magic wands + 2x Alteration (you can use your already crafter magic Wand that you have equipped)

Back into the TP and kill Vaal Oversoul.

In Act 3 resistance becomes pretty important. I usually pick up a variety of Rings so i can always adjust depending on the Damage mods of the Zone.

if you have found a four link already you can add a Link to your Rolling magma

-> Depending on the colour, Cruelty, Elemental Proliferation



At Level 24 we can pick up Flammability as a Quest reward.

On Witch i usually do libary for Determination aswell as Shield Charge + Faster Attacks, you can skip this though and pick up the gems in act 6


lvl 28: Swapping leveling setup to Armageddon Brand / Cremation (you can do this after killing Gravicious and getting Cremation as a Quest reward)

Armageddon Brand + Onslaught + Combustion /+ Cruelty /+ Elemental Proliferation
Cremation + Elemental Focus /+ Concentrated effect /+ Cruelty

If you have done libary you can equip a Shield instead of one Wand and start shield charging otherwise equip these in act 6

-> For bosses - cast 3 cremations after creating corpses for them with desecrate. Cast several arma brands and flame walls, apply flammability and spam wave of conviction.			
			
Your set up should be finalized before Dominus - gear, links, res.			



at lvl 38 you can add additional Defense with

Cast when Damage Taken + Steelskin


SKILL GEMS TO LEVEL IN THE OFFHAND -> start leveling them around act 6 if possible
