Notes
This PoB has 4 stages.
Stage 1 - From level 1 to Tier 5 maps(upper-white)(1-2 divs total) - This is around level 75
Stage 2 - From Yellow maps to finishing the atlas(5-10 divs)
Stage 3 - Mid investment(up to 50 divs)
Stage 4 - High investment(100 divs+)
### Stage 1 - The initial setup
The purpose of stage 1 is to setup the build for an easy campaign and an easy clear of the starting maps so that you can start getting some quick money
#### Defensive checklist:
- ~2.5K HP - 1.2K with Petrified Blood
- ~2K ES
- Capped resistances
- Capped block - This will be acquired by going for the Glancing Blows Keystone
- Get defenses from the Ascendancy nodes - Damnation & Future Guilt
- Get leech as a sustain layer - especially for ES
- Get immunity to Bleed & Corrupted Blood
- Get Immunity to shock
#### Offensive Checklist:
- Get the main skill gem for this stage - Penance Brand of Conduction - this provides a much better early game than the Dissipation version, as it gives you:
- Much better clear potential
- Much better ticks - that is, it ticks once ever 0.15s. Combine this with the brand mastery for brand target change and you get a hit once at the 0.3s mark and another hit at the 0.5 mark in multitarget situations.
- More than double effectiveness of added damage - very good for the herald flat damage buffs
- 100% more damage against branded targets
- much higher base damage
- I recommend running the normal lab 2-3-4 times until you get the gem
- You can use the normal Penance Brand until then
- Given that we are block capped we can use a retaliation skill as a strong cooldown button. Divine Retribution is perfect for this. Due to its high damage effectiveness it should also be able to freeze tougher monsters
- Get the keystones: Elemental Overload, Runebinder, Pain attunement
- Get enough crit to confidently trigger Elemental Overload every 8 seconds - ~9% should be fine (Which is just 2 passive points)
- Fully convert phys to lightning
The following are required for the build to make sense, but they will be obtained by different means at the other stages
- Get a source of poison damage to enable poison damage and as such Herald of Agony
- Get a good baseline of % elemental and - especially - lightning damage
- Get a source to apply elemental ailments - especially - shock & freeze(freeze is a good defense layer)
- Apply the Elemental Weakness Curse
#### Specters
We want to use specters so that we can later on get some of the auras we are sorely missing. Until we can have access to such corpses, I suggest using specters now just so that they cast curses for you.
A Defiler(https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Defiler) is a good candidate for such a task. Check the Wiki for interesting specters
