DAY 2 NOTES ON PENANCE IGNITE
GETTING HIGHER DAMAGE (WITHOUT ARCHDEMON HELMET)
-Herald Buff Effect Tattos are quite cheap in this event, look to grab as many as early as possible for big damage increase.
-Tattoos work best with Caspiro Elegant Hubris, this allows you to tattoo every single travel node.
-Onslaught on Hit is great QoL on the +30 dexterity node.
SQUIRMING TERROR VS STORMFIRE
-After testing, it seems like Squirming Terror is better for bossing, conflux adds a lot of damage through shocks, and chills help quite a bit.
-Stormfire is still a good mapping option, you can also technically drop ignite chance if you swap to Squirming Terror.
AMULET ANNOINT
-Early annoint should be Ash, Frost, and Storm. It gives a lot of easy damage and increases shock.
-Later on Whispers of Doom is the best. You can technically put the 2nd curse in Squirming Terror if you want to automate one of them.
BALANCE OF TERROR
-Elemental Weakness Balance of Terror adds a bit of damage, make sure to self cast this one if you automate one.
CLEAR SPEED BEFORE LOST UNITY
-Swiftbrand + Cast Speed will make the Penance explode faster, making the character feel much better for mapping.
LOST UNITY + OBLITERATION + IGNITE PROLIF ON GLOVES
-Once you get Lost Unity you gain a lot of %more damage, but you also gain a pulsing AoE that surrounds your character, this damage CANNOT ignite BUT it can kill enemies.
-Obliteration procs once you kill an enemy from Lost Unity, and this damage CAN ignite.
-Elemental Conflux from Herald buffs the Lost Unity, making it deal more damage. (it gains stacks from applying Ailments)
-It also gives 100% chance to ignite and this applies to the Obliteration explosions, allowing it to ignite.
-The last piece of the puzzle is having a source of global ignite proliferation. (get this from Exarch implicit on gloves)
-Once you have all of this together, the build becomes sort of an auto-bomber for mapping.
IF YOU'RE STRUGGLING DEFENSIVELY
-Most important stat for mapping is block. Attack block is very important for making the character tankier.
-Enduring Composure on small cluster or annointing Agressive Bastion for endurance charges can help quite a bit.
-Max Resists and more block nodes over damage can help. Nodes such as Sanctuary and Nomadic Teachings are within range.
-Make sure to get damage taken as elemental on chest implicit.
-Melding later on combined with Aegis and using Herald of Ice maximum resists is also an option.
MANA RESERVATION WITH LOST UNITY
-Mana becomes slightly annoying once you have both Lost Unity and Divine Sentinel
-Currently I'm just dropping Arctic Armor, but you can gain some Reservation through Runegraft of Treachery, or Elegant Hubris notable.
ASCENDANCY TATTOO
-My character has Liege of the Primordial tattoo'd. This doesn't show on POB currently however.
-This is the reason for using 4 golems, without this I would not take the golem nodes on the tree, I would however recommend using Lightning Golem still for Mana regen.
