This custom modifier essentially simulates the effect of Vixen's. PoB cannot calculate the actual cast rate of Temp Chains/Doom Blast; without this modifier, PoB displays an incorrect cast rate of Temp Chains/Doom Blast at 2.17 The skill cooldown of Temp Chains determines the correct amount of times we can cast it per second. A 900% custom modifier fixes the cast rate shown by PoB. The actual percentage is irrelevant as long as it caps our ACTUAL cast rate (10.10 FOR THIS BUILD). Acording to HC_Paak, the creator of the OG Impending Doom build, THERE ARE NO CDR BREAKPOINTS; the more CDR the better. POB IS WRONG. PoB shows a 25% damage increase at a breakpoint of 52% CDR (1.322s to 0.099s), however as previously stated, there are no breakpoints. According to Steelmage, your actual DPS will be inaccurately calculated if below the WRONG 52%/0.099s PoB 'breakpoint'; there is no custom modifier to fix this. To increase DPS, we want to increase our cast speed to have as little downtime in between Impending Doom charges (Impending Doom is actually a charge based skill). We want to increase our CAST SPEED up to a cap. This cap is determined by our Temp Chains CDR. Visit https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1J-yVLmDhKqKNE8QecsPnZgNR2TDGDm41f-1tdC_BxQA/edit#gid=1230763965 to see what your Temp Chains optimal cast speed is THIS BUILD for example has a Temp Chains CDR of 52% and a corresponding optimal cast speed of 153% (excluding custom modifier in PoB) According to Steelmage, Awakened Spell Cascade lowers the optimal cast speed needed "by a lot less". In my opinion, >=50% Temp Chains CDR and ~150% cast speed is what we should be aiming for at 50% CDR, 150% is our ideal cast speed and 200% is our brick cap. At 49% CDR however our cast speed brick cap is 150%, which can reasonably be achieved but will unintentionally ruin your build. IF build equips Mageblood/high budget (THIS BUILD): - 25% from max rolled Balance of Terror (25% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate if you've cast Temporal Chains in the past 10 seconds - ELEVATED 18-20% from Crusader (+ Hunter) influenced boots (16-20% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate) - 5-9% from 2-3x abyss jewels (2-3% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate) = >=50% Temp Chains CDR IF build DOES NOT equip Mageblood/lower budget: - 25% from max rolled Balance of Terror (25% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate if you've cast Temporal Chains in the past 10 seconds - 11-15% from Crusader-influenced boots (11-15% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate) - OR 6-8% (realistically) from Exarch Eldritch Implicit on boots (6-10% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate) - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED UNVEILED 13-16% from Stygian Vise/Rare Belt (13-16% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate) = >=30% Temp Chains CDR (if CDR <50%, make sure cast speed is ideally >100% but below 150%) Why is 'Kill enemies that have 15% or lower life when hit by your skills' included in the PoB custom modifiers? This cull effect comes from The Eternal Struggle, Onyx Amulet WITH a higher tier Exarch implicit modifier Why is 'You can apply an additional curse' included in the PoB custom modifiers? Every time we cast Temporal Chains, it overrides Punishment and deals damage through Doom Blast (deal damage when a curse ends) Punishment does not actually apply. We have a 3 curse limit (+1 naturally, +1 from Whispers of Doom, +1 from Vixen's) but are casting 4 curses. When we cast Temporal Chains (4) (in the chest), the game casts the curses in the gloves first In the gloves we cast Punishment (1) > Enfeeble (2) > Despair (3) IN THAT ORDER, starting from gloves' top left socket Without this modifier, PoB calculates our DPS at half of its actual value.
