----- Why BV and not EK/Exsang.? -----
Patch Notes 3.23: 
BV gets a buff of roughly one level 
EK returning projectiles ~30 less damage before getting Nimis (no nerf)

My thoughts: 
BV is my all-time favorite skill of the game and especially with Ultimatum coming back this time I feel it's a little bit more save to play (running/dodging while dealing damage). 
I also think that it is a little bit easier to get off the ground, although playing BV or EK in the endgame is just a personal preference and not that much of a difference because both builds are rather similar.
Exsanguinate just feels aweful without investment into cast speed and plays very similar to EK, however EK simply has more base damage than Exsang. 


----- Leveling -----
Buy a Blade Vortex gem as soon as possible and level it in your off-hand

UPGRADE YOUR LIFE FLASKS WHEN SWAPPING TO POISONOUS CONCOCTION! 
-> 3 Scrolls of Wisdom @ Vendor / sell the same flask 3 times to receive its upgraded version 
-> Make sure to upgrade your flasks every 6 levels! Level 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42

Check vendors for 4 link after level 24 (gggg) 



----- BV Swap after Campaign ----- 

I recommend swapping after campaign. BV will feel slower immmediately after the swap

Pre-requisites: 
1. Need g-b-b-b/r sockets to be able to swap to BV
2. You want to have the Unleash Mastery Node allocated
3. Need 80% regular poison chance with spells (+20% from curse mastery); Check in Calcs > Poison > Chance to Poison

Source of phasing (e.g. flask) is nice to have and will save you some deaths.
