Notes
Notes for the build: We are fairly reliant on block as our main defence, so any map mods that reduce block is fairly dangerous but not impossible. No regen is basically death, since all of our recovery is regen. Phys reflect is fine, since we are full cold conversion. Ele reflect is not fine, you will kill yourself. Since we are cold converting, we shatter alot of things we kill, and herald of ash blows up the other half of the stuff we kill since WoC converts half of the damage to fire that can be overwritten. It doesn't do much DPS wise but it looks cool lol. How this build works: Wave of Conviction is a spell. Shapers Slam is an attack. For the best scaling, go for generic phys damage, crit multi, staff crit multi etc. We stay alive based on our high block chance without the crutch of Glancing Blows, having high regen, having Mind over Matter with decently high ES pool. Important stats for items: For the staff Legacy of the Rose, +5 gem and as high phys damage as possible is needed. Prioritise in the +5 gems, since this will be a very big boost to your WoC damage. The Phys damage is secondary to scale both the base damage of WoC from battlemage (ascendency) and the base damage of the shapers slam. Aim for around 1500 Omni. This should cover both your resists as well as a big amount of pen. Having 3 rings helps a lot, you can anoint Charisma instead of a mega attribute node on your amulet if you need more reservation efficiency. Any more is helpful but dont need to sacrifice defence layers for this. Obviously more Omni = more damage, so if you can squeeze more in, do so. You wont be depending on armor, so aim for ES gloves for cold conversion and ES boots for shock immunity (Stormshroud). This is fairly niche, so it can be pretty expensive, but you can make it yourself if you are crazy enough lol. In the end, you wont be depending on the ES from these, so until you get to min-maxing these can be just whatever works (ES, Evasioin, Armour whatever). Blacksun Crest is stat stick for omni. You can splurge on a corrupted 90% reservation one of these, but the good ones can get pricy. Rings are stat rings. Amethyst rings are very good for chaos res, and having 3 + screams of the dessicated gives around 40% chaos res, which is respectable. Later can swap to cogwork rings for mega stats and a Kalandras Touch to sacrifice some chaos res for more Omni. Get a high ES and life body armor, with Breach in existance, a high ES one with life should be pretty cheap. Any additional stats are a bonus, get some additional block chance as an eldritch implicit to help get to capped block Obligatory comment telling you to get a Mageblood and spec more crit to get 100% crit and also the benefit of using flasks. Mageblood solves all problems, much like having 10 mil IRL solves most problems. Scaling WoC: Clear skill, so only scale this if you are having issues clearing in the maps you like to clear. In general, the global crit multi, phys damage and ele damage should be more than enough (1.8 mil DPS). Frostmage support is there purely to inflate the mana cost of the skill so we can summon Shaper more often. If you want more damage and dont mind taking 200% longer to summon shaper, run conc effect instead.
