Notes

DEWANDOUs Ranger Deadeye Vaal Lightning Arrow

If you have any Questions leave a post or give me a whisper ingame!

General
Deadeyes are naturally squishy and cannot tank bosses. If your are playing a Deadeye remember that you will die sometimes. But on the other side there is no other class that is able to clear a screen and beyond with one shot at that high speed.
It is an excellent mapper and farmer and if you have great gear at the end you will have no problems to kill ALL the bosses. My deadeye build has many defensive layers so squishy will not become tanky but very stable.
The here shown build is fairly cheap and takes you to T16 mapping and the weaker bosses for about 1 or 2 divine or less. After that you have to invest some divineorbs. Overall the endgame build will cost you about 20 to 30 divineorbs but then you have a smooth map runner and good boss killer (if you move). If you want to bring the build to its edge than, of course, you can spend 100s of divineorbs but you dont need to do so.

The items in this POB Build https://pobb.in/-KFG9NfPk9ar are the items I played the whole content in 3.26

Overall defensive layers of this build:
physical Damage Reduction: 90% (max)
Evasion Chance: 95% (max)
Spell Suppression Chance: 100% (max)
all elemental Resistances capped, even with the Elemental Weakness Mapmod
Chaos Resistance capped
Immunity to elemental Ailments
high Life Leech, you dont need a life flask
Determination Aura
Vaal Grace Aura
Vaal Molten Shell
all Charges through Frenzy, Disciple of Unyielding (Amulet Anoint), Ensnaring Arrow, Inspiration
fast Movement (+60-70% modifier without flask or movement on boots)
almost permanent Phasing
Chance to blind Enemies (Tattoo)

Remember at any time
Whether you are LVL 1 or LVL 100, your damage output depends on almost 99% of your "Base Elemental Damage" of your Weapon. Stats and Gems push it but they will be useless in the endgame if your Base damage is to low.

Levelitems
I dont list any so called "Levelitems" in this guide. If it is your first character in a league you cannot afford them and if it is your second, third etc character you have enough currency to buy the real equipment or you know which levelitems you can use.

Armour and Evasion
That honestly is a question of faith. Most guides go with 100% Evasion and if you have nearly endless currency that is maybe the better way. But that guide reaches out to the players who dont play in the upper 1% and therefore both stats are used.
The combination will let you survive plenty more hits as if you go only with evasion. With that build in the end you have also maximum evasion chance AND maximum physical damage reduction.

Attributes
Dexterity: Aim 400+. Every 5 Points above you could swap with Tattoos in the skill tree. Do NOT go under a full 100 because of the eater implicit on the gloves.
Intelligence: You NEED 129 because of awakened elemental focus support 6/20.
Strength: You NEED 159 because of determination 21/20.

Resistances
To cap all 4 resistances you will go for the items I describe below. If you later got items with higher resistances values you could swap a few stats to other more useful. Keep in mind to include the Elemental Weakness Mapmod.

Unique Items
This build is not based on highly or astronomically expensive unique items. It only needs two unique amulets (one in leveling, one in the endgame), and both are very cheap ones. Later on you want two unique jewels (Ancestral Vision & Lioneyes Fall), the first one is expensive and goes mostly about 2 to 3 divineorbs (depends on leaguestatus), the latter about 50 chaosorbs. If you have enough money look for one of these jewels with "Corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you", thats an expensive implicit but its worth it and will save your life many times.

Tattoos
1 x Tasalio Warrior, 5% Chance to blind enemies on hit with attacks (nice defensive layer)
All other above 400 dexterity go for ramako sniper for 5% increased projectile speed

Movement Skills
I hate the whole teleport gems like Dash or Frostblink to my bones. Therefore I go with Withering Step. Feel free to change to the movement skill you like but remember that you maybe have to change the socketcolour in the setup below.

Trinity
To get use of Trinity you have to keep an eye on your elemental damage output. Fire and Cold should be around the same values and HAVE TO BE between your lightning damage. You could test it in a map, if all 3 grids (upper left corner on screen) will fill up fast and equal you are good to go. If there is only one or two filling or very slow than go check your damage of the three elements.

Example #1 (works, and within one or two shot all bars are filled)
Fire 50 - 100 damage
Cold 40 - 80 damage
Lightning 10 - 300 damage

Example #2 (wont work because fire and cold are not between the lightning values)
Fire 50 - 100 damage
Cold 40 - 80 damage
Lightning 1 - 10 damage

Elemental Penetration Support
This gem you can NOT buy at the vendor. You have to craft it. Grab Fire Penetration Support, Cold Penetration Support and Lightning Penetration Support at the vendor and level them to 20, dont quality or vaal them, it is useless. Than buy a Replica Bitterdream Shadow Sceptre (mostly about 5 chaosorbs, stats you ignore). Then sell Bitterdream and the three LVL 20 Penetration Gems TOGETHER to the vendor and you will receive some gems, one of which ist the needed Elemental Penetration Support. The others you can dump.

Map Explicits
NEVER EVER play maps with the "Monsters cannot leech from" explicit because that will break the entire build.
NEVER EVER play maps with "Physical Reflect", you only will kill yourself.
If you have Awakened Elemental Damage with Attacks at Level 5+ AND you swap out Manaforged Arrow Support Arrow you COULD play maps with "Elemental Reflect" with caution. Remember to put it back when you have finished the map.
All other mapmods are playable, some slower or more dangerous but playable.
If you have burning ground as a mop modifier, change the minor god to Abberath.

Spell Suppression and elemental ailment Immunity
Through the skill tree you will get 101% Spell Suppression. Later on you socket Ancestral Vision of whom you get 50% of the Suppression value as Chance to avoid elemental Ailments. That 50% Avoidance and the 20% from the skill tree brings you to 70%. To reach the immunity you need minimum 30% avoidance on your boots, with the cheapest eater ichors you get 16% or 17%, therefore the first avoid elemental ailments at the bench is enough (up to 20%).
Even though Damage reduction trough Spell Suppression is reduced from 50% to 40% in 3.27 I dont think the reduction will matter.

Auras and Mana
You will need 64 unreserved mana at least, otherwise your snipers mark and mark on hit will not work. Because of the three auras, you have nearly no mana to spend on your skills. If you, and that will happen in the mid or early endgame have a lower value than 64 mana only use the precision and grace auras. With the mana reservation efficiency and both of the helmet enchants you have enough unreserved mana to activate all auras AND to use your attacks as well as the snipers mark and mark on hit gems. Aim for an unreserved mana value about 80+ and you have no problems to use all of your skills permanently (as long as you hit and kill anything so your leech can fill up your mana).

Teamplay
If you are playing with friends the absolute best class to team up with is a witch minion melee build. The witchs minions are gathering around the uniques and bosses and body block most of the attacks, therefore you could mostly just stay behind the minions and shoot. Also the witchs auras give yourself many useful buffs (defensive and offensive).

Passive Skilltree
Though you get better and better gear in the end switch later on to the endgame tree. Herein are a few changes that boost your damage as your defenses.

Skillpoints (SP)
Foloow the Skilltree in POB. The following notes are showing only special steps.

1-6 SP
If you want more damage at that early point of progression, you can also use the three "Projectile Damage" nodes instead of "Attack Speed". But remember to later on, at last when you start mapping, change it into "Attack Speed".

43-48 SP
For the moment you use "Evasion and Phasing", later on this node will be deleted though you use "Spell Suppression Mastery" with "Phasing if you suppressed Spell damage"

80-87 SP
Delete the SP "Evasion and Phasing", though you have phasing through the "Spell Suppression Mastery" with "Phasing if you suppresses Spell damage.

88-94 SP
You can also take the nodes to "Pierce" instead of chain but for endgame i highly recommend "Chain".

95-102 SP
Take "One with Nature" and one adjacent "Elemental Damage" node at the start of the tree. Also get the two "Basic Jewel" Slots. In the upper slot you socket "Lioneyes Fall" and at the bottom one you sockete "Ancestral Vision"

Items at leveling
Bow
The bow you get at the beach is well enough for the first levels but always look after better bows with higher elemental damage and two, better three linked sockets.
Dont spend currency on 5 or 6 link weapons till you get around 50 Chaosorbs. You get well with a 4-link to mapping and you can buy a 4-link with very little currency, mostly 1 or 2 Chaosorbs.

Quiver
Took any one (rare) which has flat damage and maybe maximum life on it. Look after better ones as your are leveling and change it frequently to better ones.

Amulet and Rings
Though you will find not so many at the beginning, equip what you get (even white ones). Best way to push your damage and survivability at this time is to use jewellery with flat damage (i.e. Iron Rings) and/or maximum life. As soon you are LVL 5 look after Karui Ward Jade Amulet (mostly 1 Chaosorb) as your FIRST choice to spend currency. That amulet fits perfect to our build and takes you to LVL 64 when it is changed to another unique amulet.

Belt
Also use what you find, but look after a Leather Belt (maximum life) or a Rustic Sash (global physical damage).

Armour
At first you will equip what you find but start eventually to grab the items with Armour and Evasion in all the four armour slots.
The combination will give you also the chance to evade a hit and if that doesnt work you have a damage reduction through armour.

Gems at leveling
Bow
At LVL 1 buy Split Arrow and Pierce Support in town. If you get a 3-link bow get also Faster Attacks Support (available after you killed Brutus). With that very cheap setup (2 Scrolls of Wisdom and 1 Orb of Transmutation) you will get a feeling of screen clearing in the endgame. After you kill Merveil in ACT 1 you get Rain of Arrows. Resocket your Bow with Rain of Arrows, Faster Attacks Support and Added Cold Damage Support. That is your final setup until you reach mapping.
If you get lucky an get a cheap 4 link than socket the fourth slot with Added Fire Damage Support.
The new skill gems Thnderstorm (Quest reward Act 1) and Conflagration (Quest reward Act 3) sounds interersting to replace Rain of Arrows with. If one of them is worth the swap I will test and update the here given information.

Body Armour
At first you will need a 2 link Armour. When you reach Submerged Passage get Shrapnell Ballista and Added Cold Damage Support. If you have a 3 link add Faster Attacks Support. This setup is your boss and tough rare monster killer until you reach mapping.

Helmet/Gloves/Boots
2 Link: Snipers Mark and Mark on hit, those gems you will NEVER change.
2 Link: Cast when Damage taken Support (Gemlevel 5) and Molten Shell (Gemlevel 10). Dont level higher. Those gems you will NEVER change.
The pairs have to be internally linked but not to the other set, Snipers Mark will be disabled if linked to Cast when Damage taken Support.

The other Sockets you fill with Grace, Purify of Elements, Blood Rage, Frenzy or Withering Step. Whether linked or not doesnt matter. The Purify of Elements (Quality is absolutely unimportant) I recommend as mandatory because of its elemental resistances boost and mostly of the elementail ailment immunity. Change it only if you get Ancestral Vision (mostly costs about 2 or 3 divineorbs) in the endgame.

Remaining sockets you can fill with Manaforged Arrows Support, Ensaring Arrow, Power Charge on critical Support, Elemental Focus Support, Focused Ballista Support, Inspiration Support, Trinity Support, 2 x Increased Critical Damage Support, 2 x Elemental Damage with Attacks Support, Returning Pojectiles Support. These gems you dont use at the moment cause there is probably neither your level nor the needed sockets/links on your euipment. But if you find some of these, socket them in free spaces so they get some gemlevels on your way through the campaign.

Important
Remember to use your second weapon slots. Equip two onehanded dexterity weapons (dagger, hatchet etc) with 3 sockets each. Put in there also some gems you will need later to get experience to them. If you manage to have many free sockets get Cold Penetration Support, Fire Penetreation Support and Lightning Penetration Support. You will need them later to change in a gem that you couldnt buy.
If you get lucky or have too much currency near endgame then equip a 6 socket bow and Maloneys Mechanism (the only quiver with sockets). Therefore you can level 9 gems instead of 6, links doesnt matter.

Where is Lighting Arrow this build is named after?
You can play with Lightning Arrow merely from the start but i highly not recommend it, It lacks in clearing and damage. At around LVL 65-70 you switch to Lightning Arrow. But you socket not the normal Gem, look after Vaal Lightning Arrow, so you get a second attack you will get good use of. At the time you switch to Lighnting Arrow you will have enough currency to buy a Vaal Lightning Arrow with 20% quaility (will be around 20-50 Chaosorbs). The quality is mandatory and let you hit 2 more enemies. If you can not get a Vaal Version than take the normal one but also with 20% quality. The Vaal attack is nice to have but not a game changer.

Ascendancy
normal Lab (lvl 33): Gathering Winds
cruel Lab (lvl 55): Ricochet
merciless Lab (lvl 68): Endless Munition
uber Lab (lvl 75): Focal Point

Bandits
You help Alira and kill the other two. You will get +15% to all elemental resistances. Sounds not so much but it will make your endgame gear more flexible when it comes to resistances and frees at least one explicit on any armour item. The "Kill all Bandit" Option gives you one Skillpoint but that one point is merely useless in the skilltree. Later if you have enough resistances without that bonus change it to kill all (see changes in endgame tree).

Pantheon
The next question of faith. Generally spoken you use the two gods that fit best in your playstyle. I recommend Soul of Lunaris for mapping and Soul of Solaris for bosses as major god and Soul of Gruthkul as minor god.
If you have burning ground as a mop modifier, change the minor god to Abberath.

Crafting
The 6 links with the needed colours or armour with the exact resistances in need are not easy to find or expensive. For those changes do not underestimate the horticraft station.

Bow
Here you try to get 2 green, 3 blue and 1 red socket. Blue and red are off-colours on bows.
You could 6 socket it and spam chromatic orbs but that way will be very expensive and absolut randomly. Therefore follow the given steps with jewellers orbs. The are much cheaper and also more likely to find. You could also use this method for all other items with many off-colours. You will need many, many jeweller orbs but in the end it will be the much cheaper and more deterministic way.
1. Step: Horticraft two blue sockets with chromatic orbs
2. Step; upgrade to 3 sockets with jewellers. If you get a blue or red one go to Step 4, otherwise to Step 3
3. Step: reduce to 2 Sockets with jewellers. The first and second colour will remain. Aftr that repeat Step 2 and 3 until you get a blue or red socket.
4. Step: upgrade to 4 sockets with jewellers. If you get the last off-colour socket go to Step 6, otherwise to Step 5
5. Step: reduce to 3 Sockets with jewellers. The first, second and third colour will remain. After that repeat Step 4 and 5 until you get the last off-colour
6. Step: Press thumbs and upgrade to 6 sockets. So green is the normal colour on bows there is a signifcant high chance that you get 2 green sockets. If not downgrade to 4 Sockets and repeat this step till you get the two needed greens.

Body Armour
You need 2 green, 2 blue and 2 red. Only blue is off-colour.
1. Step: Horticraft two blue sockets with chromatic orbs
2. Step: Press thumbs and upgrade to 6 sockets. So green and red are the normal colour on armour/evasion armour there is a signifcant high chance that you get the needed sockets. If not downgrade to 2 Sockets and repeat this step till you get the two needed colours.

Why not swap the methods between bow and body armour?
The bow has 2 offcolours and the body armour only one. Therefore you get cheaper and faster results.

If you get an already 6 socket item give it some tries with chromatic orbs, maybe you are lucky.

Resistances
At the Horticraft there are options to change one specific elemental resistance to another specific elemental resistance (will not work for chaos resistance). With that in mind you dont have to look after one or two exact resistances you need, only for an item with any resistance with the needed #% and than change it at the crafting station.
Furthermore you can max out the #% resistance in the given Tier. The Tier never change but the #% resistance will randomly get a new value. If you have enough Horticraft currency you can swap until you get maximum value.

POB Testing
Every once in a while you will find items or see them in trade that at a first glance will be better than your equipped gear, even your ingame stats maybe show it is better. Dont trust those informations cause many skills or synergies are not correctly valued ingame.
Especially at your bow and your quiver dont act too fast. Go and test them first. You can ctrl-c an item in your backpack, stash or chat (in trade sites first mark the lines and then ctrl-c) and switch to POB. There you press the Create Custom button (upper right in the items menu) and ctrl-v. Press save and add to build. Than you change your equipped item to the one you copied in und you will see if it is really worth it.
Even POB is not perfect, that can save you many currency, especially while in the endgame and you are maxing your gear.

Endgame Items
Bow
Base and Implicit
Some say you will mandatorily need a bow with high base critical strike chance but in my opinion and experience the critical strike chance given through the skill tree and the explicit on the bow is far enough. Therefore i recommend a bow with one of the following implicits in order of importance: increased elemental damage with attack skills, increased attack speed or increased critical strike chance. You have also to look after one with a high elemental damage base. 700 edps is nice at the beginning (around 50 Chaosorbs) but to ensure you can manage all the maps you will need around 1000 edps (around 100-200 Chaosorbs). If you are lucky and get one with 1300+ edps your are ready to kill mapbosses with 2 or 3 shots and aim at the real bosses. A bow with such high edps is expensive an could cost a few divine orbs up until hundred divine orbs or even significant more, depends on league.

Blight Enchantments
One ring gets "Your Chilling Towers freeze enemies for 0.2 seconds while they are affected by chilling beams" (indigo & violet) and the other ring "Your Meteor Towers create Burning Ground for 3 seconds on Hit" (opal & silver)

Jewels
You need Lioneyes Fall as your first jewel beacuse it will change the claw skillpoints to bows (upper right place in the tree). Normally it is cheap to medium priced (10-50 chaosorbs). Important: Dont get irritated though POB doesnt show the change, there will be claws whether with or without the jewel. You can only see the change ingame.
Through the second jewel Ancestral Vision you will get elemental ailment immunity if you get the right boots (see above). It will cost a few divineorbs in most leagues but it is worth it. Look after it as soon you get the 5 skillpoints from the Spell Supression mastery right above of it.
If your have enough money look after one of these jewels with the corrupted implicit immunity to corrupted blood.

Flasks
Divine life flask, later on with enough money or drop luck you change it to dying sun (nice to have but not a game changer) cause you dont need a life flask anymore. If you want to be even faster than you can grab a Qicksilver flask or any other Utility flask of your needs instead of the Life Flask.

Prefix
#% reduced amount recovered, #% increased recovery rate, #% of recovery applied instantly

Suffix
Immunity to corrupted blood for # seconds (only if you have not any one of the two jewels with the corrupted blood immunity implicit). If you have, than choose the suffix freely.

Granite flask, Jade flask, Diamond flask and Sulphur flask

Prefix
Gain charge on critical hit (on all 4)

Suffix
