Primary Mechanic Soulrend of the Spiral + Arcanist Brand + Triggerbots + Trigger Wands + Returning Projectile Support: I have 7 arcanist brands which trigger Soulrend of the spiral twice when triggered by Brand Recall. (The Arcanist Brands trigger twice because of my Triggerbots) Arcanist brand also causes supported projectiles to have a maximum travel distance of 4.8 meters. I trigger Brand Recall twice when I use a skill every 4 and 8 seconds with my wands. The cooldowns are seperate. (Brand recall triggers twice because of my Triggerbots) Everytime I trigger a brand recall, Soulrend of the Spiral activates 28 times (14 times twice). I can increase how often Brand Recall occurs by stacking Brand Recall Cooldown Recovery from various sources. Soulrend of the spiral Sends out 5 projectiles in a spiral. An enemy can only be hit by 1 outgoing projectile per spiral. However, an enemy can also be hit by all returning projectiles. This causes an enemy to be hit by 1 outgoing projectile and 5 returning projectiles, for 6 hits total. Soulrend of the spiral will usually only return upon colliding with something, but arcanist brand causes it to return after traveling 4.8 meters. With every trigger of brand recall at maximum brands, soulrend of the spiral hits 168 times. Damage Scaling Mine Auras + Demoliton's Specialist: Icicle mine of sabotage grants 40% increased critical strike chance with hits against enemies near undetonated mines (Up to 500%). Stormblast mine causes enemies nearby to undetonated mines to take 3% increased damage (Per mine up to 150%). Demolition's Specialist grants 150% increased effect of auras to mines, allowing me to need less mines to acheive the same effect. Minefield allows me to throw 5 mines with one button press. I can only have 15 mines out at once, I use Icicle Mine once, and Stormblast Mine Twice. Wither + Aspect of the Spider: Wither is applied through a spell totem setup, it increases chaos damage taken by up to 90%. Aspect of the spider hinders enemies and increases chaos damage taken by up to 20%. Critical Strike Scaling: Using critical strike supports, power charges, and assassin's mark to get critical strike chance. Soulrend of the spiral's base crit is quite low. Arn's Anguish Gives me 3% chance to deal triple damage per endurance charge, and +1 max endurance charges Important Quality of Life I use a level 1 Corrupting Fever gem on left click to activate my trigger setups on cooldown. Corrupting Fever is instant, has a short cooldown, and does not cause damage to my Energy Shield (unlike Blood Rage), which would interrupt my Energy Shield Recharge. Projectile Speed does not directly increase damage per second, but increases it allows your projectiles to converge sooner. 90% of my damage does not occur until my projectiles converge after returning. Projectile Speed can minimize the time you need to stand near a boss for your projectiles to return and hit it. The Projectile Speed I can get from my wands and support gem quality allows my projectiles to hit about 45% sooner. A source of Phasing helps position my character on top of bosses easier, allowing for projectiles to return more accurately. Sources of phasing that would be reliable in single target scenarios are hard to come by, but the Phasing Suppression Mastery can be used, allowing you to have phasing for 4 seconds if you've been hit by a spell recently. I would rather have a permanent source of phasing though. Defenses Eldritch battery + MInd over Matter: My energy shield protects my mana instead of my life, and I take 40% of damage to my mana instead of from my life. This allows me to solve my extreme mana costs and have an extended health pool. I increase my energy shield primarily through using Discipline, The Vertex + ES Helmet Mastery, and The Burden of Truth. Spell Suppression: Capped through only using pieces of armour with evasion on them, annointing inveterate, using a small suppression cluster, rolling suppression on rare armour pieces, and allocating the Instinct cluster. Physical Mitigation: Some Phys conversion from rare body armour Ailment Mitigation: Purity of Elements, also helps cap my resistances. EHP: Just grace and ES recovery Recovery Spell Damage Leeched as Energy Shield + Instant Leech + Fenumus' Spinnerets: Allows me to hit enemies and recover more energy shield than I spend triggering dozens of instances of Soulrend of the Spiral. The Burden of Truth: Allows me to recover energy shield with my life flask when I have nothing to hit. Also stops Chaos damage from bypassing my energy shield. The Burden of truth is not that good Ghost Dance Recovers a chunk of energy shield when I am hit, useful for when I run out of energy shield and cannot hit anything for whatever reason. Crafting Wand 1: 1. Get an Item Level 82 or Below Wand with Fractured Projectile Speed 2. Use veiled orbs to unveil 4 second spell trigger 3. Lock Suffixes and Harvest Chaos Reforge for +1 to All Chaos Spell Skill Gems 4. Craft highest tier Spell Damage Price = 2 Divine Orbs, 1 Exalted Orbs, and a few Veil orbs. Wand 2: 1. Get an Item Level 82 or Below Wand with Fractured Critical Strike Multiplier 2. Use Essences of Dread to get Projectile Speed. 3. Make sure the last suffix is open, either by using orbs of annulments or continuing to use Essences of Dread. 4. Craft "Can have up to 3 crafted modifiers" 5. Lock Suffixes and Harvest Chaos Reforge for +1 to All Chaos Spell Skill Gems 6. Craft 8 second spell trigger Price = 4 Divine Orbs, 1 or more Essence of Dread, 4 Chaos Orbs, and maybe Orbs of Annulment.
