LEVELING NOTES Guide by animeprincess https://www.twitch.tv/animeprincess https://www.youtube.com/@anime.princess https://discord.gg/anime-princess-111244942860460032 SUMMARY: This is a budget leaguestart progression for pathfinder Poison Concoction / Pconc of Bouncing. The endgame gearing is pretty tame and this build can be played in SSF or Trade. ACT 1 talkreigh regex -\w-.-|g-g-|-g-g|g-.-g|g-g|nne|rint|s:.+bow LEVELING FILTER: https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/xsnowingx-1952/item-filters use the AP leveling pconc pathfinder filter BANDITS: Alira for 15% res ASCENDANCY ORDER: Nature's Reprisal -> Nature's Adrenaline -> Master Toxicist -> Master Surgeon IMPORTANT TIPS: - Always use the highest-level life flasks available. Your damage scales with the total life the flask can recover. The higher the life amount, the more damage you get. - Use gambling vendors to upgrade gear during the campaign. Evasion (EVA) more likely green sockets, Energy Shield (ES) more likely blue sockets, Armor more likely red sockets, Hybrid bases can roll mixed socket colors LEVELING GUIDE: --------------------------------ACT 1- BOW START---------------------------------------- create a Ranger. Caustic Arrow - Mirage Archer - Momentum Support (order of importance) Shrapnel Ballista - Pierce Support Snipers Mark (it is a permanent debuff on bosses and only has to be pressed once) Burning Arrow - Manaforged Arrows (optional automated damage) Frostblink (Buy ASAP to keep at low level, so we don't have to get Int on gear) Shield Charge ( BUY SHIELD CHARGE ASAP AFTER MUD FLATS BECAUSE THE STR REQ GOES UP IF U POSTPONE THIS. we will not use it until level 12) --------------------------------ACT 1- PCONC SWAP---------------------------------------- At level 12, we unlock the Poison Concoction gem, AFTER entering The Cavern of Wrath. Pconc is a huge DPS boost, swap immediately. New Gems: Poisonous Concoction - Volley - Void Manip - Chance to Poison (order of importance) Shield Charge (lv1) - Faster Attacks - Momentum Frostblink Withering Step (debuff hard bosses by walking on top of them, to increase dmg) Precision (provides accuracy for pconc. do not need to constantly level this up as it adds reservation cost. occasionally check your accuracy in the stats page, and level as needed) --------------------------------ACT 2-------------------------------------------------------------- Herald of Agony Arctic Armor (this is a good defensive aura if you can fit it in. when we get mana leech on the tree, clarity becomes useless and we can drop it) Blood Rage (optional skill that increases damage and gives leech) --------------------------------ACT 3-------------------------------------------------------------- Despair / Temporal Chains (self cast on bosses. pick one.) Despair is more damage but requires int, Temp Chains is a bit less damage but very easy to fit in and is more defensive. Malevolence (useful aura in the endgame, not needed now) Grace / Haste (defensive / offensive aura decision. pick one) use this after grabbing the Charisma passive. can drop arctic armor if you need to) Plague Bearer (extra damage, works great with Increased Area of Effect if you have the gem slot for it) --------------------------------ACT 4-------------------------------------------------------------- Pconc - Greater Volley - Void Manip - Unbound Ailments - Chance to Poison *Note: you can only get Unbound Ailments from either Siosa in Library Act 3, or Lily in Act 6. I will opt to skip library and use Chance to Poison instead, up until act 6 when I get it from Lily. I want to mention unbound ailments because it IS a much better support gem, and if you don't mind doing Library quest its worth using. After Act 4 you can just blast your way thru the rest of the campaign, and not worry about anymore gem swaps! POISON CONCOCTION OF BOUNCING SWAP This entails prioritizing # of projectiles as well as the Projectile Mastery for inc damage per chain. There is also a Projectile Damage medium cluster that can be chaos spam crafted to get the 'Follow-Through' node, which gives us alot of damage. Obviously we also want to have both Greater Volley and Greater Multiple Projectiles supports when we swap to this gem. Having all these projectiles will put strain on your life flasks, which is why the tree has support for regaining life flask charges. (All these changes are already noted in the Skill and Tree tabs for the Pconc Swap, which I did after campaign but if you want you can do it beforehand. PANTHEON: MAJOR: Brine King for Freeze immunity MINOR: Gruthkul for phys mitigation, altho this choice is flexible depending on your weakness. ENDGAME GEARING The build suggests a few common uniques. Some substitutions: Gloves: The Embalmer is a very common unique that can substitute for a 5L / 6L early on in endgame progression. Even when you eventually do get a 6L, the glove still provides poison duration, which is a good damage stat, so you can keep wearing it until you need to swap to rare gloves to fix your other stats. Body Armor: Lightning Coil, or Doppelganger Guise, or Rare Evasion armor with Phys taken as eldrith implicit Amulet: Fury Valve, or Rare Amulet with Damage over time Multiplier and Life Shield: Lepers Alm's has more damage and less phys mit than Dawnbreaker. This also gives great ailment protection, and with Pconc of Bouncing you really shouldn't have to worry about ailment with this shield. Dawnbreaker is a common Searing Exarch drop, and is a cheap source of phys to ele. Prioritize the phys taken as fire roll above all else. More defensive than Leper's but you lose so much damage, I think its slightly worse overall. Rare Shaper Shield with life gain on block can be another option here. Pristine Fossils would be a good way to craft this. Boots: Beacon of Madness (EV/ES Variant) These boots give us occultist pops, some of the best explosions in the game. In order to negate the downside, we use a shield swap trick, which will be explained in the video guide. Flasks: Rumi's is a good source of block and coupled with Dawnbreaker and our anoint Aggresstive Bastion, puts us very close to block cap Sulphur Flask is an option for more damage Topaz Flask is another option if we are using Lightning Coil and do not need the extra block Rest of Gear: The rest of the gear should just fix your stats. Ele Res, Chaos Res, Strength, a Suppression Roll. Prioritize evasion bases as we are scaling this stat, and the 15% suppress mastery requires evasion helm, boot, glove. To acquire powerful SSF gear, I suggest sending Crimson Ore and Bars to Te Onui with your Kingsmarch ships, which will return well-rolled evasion gear. I was also using Faustus to gamble for my evasion gear, which has a good chance of being well-rolled. BONUS: CHASE ITEMS I am simply going to make a list of very powerful and possibly very expensive upgrades that you can slot into this build. You will not find these in the item trees for this pob, because they are beyong the scope of a leauguestart and not easily accessible. You will likely see them in build update videos, depending on their price Progenesis (defensive) Light of Meaning chaos damage (offensive) Watchers Eyes dot multi malevolence (offensive) Brutal Restaint (offensive) very powerful modes, for example Onslaught on Kill, Inc Flask Charge Gained, Alchemists Genius Impossible Escape chaos inoculation (offensive) Extra curse, and a lot of big dps nodes. Anathema (offensive) Budget alternative to Impossible escape for extra curses Ancestral Vision (defensive) ailment immunity Tides of Time (defensive) buffs flasks and buffs progenesis if u have it CONCLUSION: I will be streaming this start live on twitch. I will be posting build updates that take this past this budget starter guide on Youtube. I plan to farm a bunch of currency on this starter, and either swap to a 2nd pathfinder build such as <<<POISON SPARK>>>, or reroll into a 2nd build. Will be making a transition guide on Youtube for this. This is a pconc guide so if you want to make that Mamba transition with me you will get support for that in a dedicated future video guide. My ingame chat channel is /global 8686 Feel free to ask for help in twitch chat, or in my discord community (link can be found at the top of this notes page). MISC FAQ: map regex? i do not like cannot leech and monsters avoid poison. the regex to avoid these is: "!eec|on," charges are not configured in pob? We get endurance charge on kill via anoint, and frenzy on kill if you remember to press Blood Rage at the start of the map. I am not including these in the POB because it's not going to affect boss damage, but we are primarily going to be mapping so yes you will usually have charges do we need tattoos? You will ideally have 1 avoid stun tattoo to push us from 96 to 100% stun avoidance. Stun immunity is very important when doing endgame bossing, where a shaper ball stunning you could mean the difference between getting hit once and walking it off, or dying. You may also need 1 poison chance tattoo if you do not opt to get it on the glove eldritch implicit
