You can switch to the Carrion Golems once you have acquired the transfigured gem+Clayshaper and allocated Golem Commander (this also allows you to respec Enduring Bond&Spiritual Aid since duration is no longer important).
For the spectres you can use the Stygian Silverback from The Riverways in Act 2 and the Host Chieftain from The Southern Forest in Act 6 for leveling. You can later add the Perfect Blasphemer and replace the intiial spectres with the Perfect Spirit of Fortune and
the Perfect Hulking Miscreation (all three spectres can be found in Rituals or bought from trade).
