Attack enemy (you don't need to stay in a close range, because "Ice Crash" has a massive AoE on the second and third stages) 3. Keep safe distance Note! Any enemy hit by a hit/stage of "Ice Crash" cannot be damaged again by subsequent hit(s)/stage(s). ### ### ### Leveling ### There are various combinations of gem links for leveling. They depend on the player's personal choice. For example, you can use the following combinations of main attack link: In Act 1: Ground Slam + Added Fire Damage + Additional Accuracy + Ruthless After Act 2: Ground Slam + Added FIre Damage + Chance to Bleed + Ruthless Tips & Tricks: * you may use "Precision" to accumulate Accuracy Rating (without "Resolute Technique" Keystone); * you may use "Herald of Ash" to boost effective AoE; * the main sources of incoming damage are: ** Physical in Acts 1-4; ** Elemental in Acts 5-10; * Acts 5-6 are the most dangerous ones; They have a lot of incoming Elemental damage, and the character doesn't have the required resistance (especially in the fight with Innocence). But it may be useful if you try to maximise your build, acquiring items from permanent leagues (Standard and Hardcore): * Determination/Grace/Hatred/Petrified Blood/Arctic Armour has #% increased Mana Reservation Efficiency * Blood and Sand has #% increased buff effect * #% increased Ice Crash Area of Effect Base Jewels It may not be odvious, but each base jewel can be significantly useful in comparison with many regular Notables of passive tree. For example, it may provide "13-17% increased Attack Speed" (depending of roll). It is more than any Notable of regular passive tree. It also provides small buffs for different necessary stats (Life, All Attributes, Global Critical Strike Chance). Grasping Mail can be provide follows useful mods: * (Prefix) 50% increased Global Defences * (Prefix) Permanently Intimidate Enemies on Block * (Suffix) Chill Enemy for 1 second when Hit, reducing their Action Speed by 30% * (Suffix) Shock Reflection * (Suffix) Blind Chilled Enemies on Hit * (Suffix) Arctic Armour has 100% increased Mana Reservation Efficiency Saqawal's Nest (Body Armour) This is a good option, which provides significant boost for "All Attributes" (with a good roll) and "Mana Reservation Efficiency". Also, it doubles the buff from "Aspect of the Avian" (see below), but you need additional sources of "Mana Reservation Efficiency" or "Enlighten" with Level 4. Aspect of the Avian provides the following buffs in sequence each 4 seconds: * (Avian's Might) You and minions gain 10% (20%) chance to Double Damage // affect each stage of "Ice Crash" * (Avian's Flight) You and minions gain 10% (20%) increased Movement Speed Olroth's Charge (Boots) This is a valuable option if you have rare Body Armour (to compensate Elemental Resistances). Each time, when Ward gets broken, character gains Adrenaline for 3 seconds. Adrenaline provides the following buffs: * 100% increased Damage (insignificant) * 25% increased Attack, Cast and Movement Speed * 10% additional Physical Damage Reduction Ward is restored each 4 seconds, but Olroth's Charge increases that time to a value between 5 (30% slower) and 6 (50% slower) seconds. It means that character may gain Adrenaline each 5.5-6.5 seconds (because enemies in PoB calculation require around 0.5-0.67 seconds on hit). Beacon of Madness (Boots) This is a valuable option if you have rare Body Armour (to compensate Elemental Resistances). Boots have "Embrace of Madness" buff, which may be activated to provide massive damage and defense boosts. But each 1 second, character takes one of the four unique debuffs (stack up 20 times each and 20 seconds long each; each new stack replenishes timer of duration): * Eroding Touch (You take 6% increased damage per stack) * Paralysing Touch (You have 6% reduced action speed per stack) * Diluting Touch (You have 9% reduced flask charges gained and 9% reduced flask effect per stack) * Wasting Touch (You have 9% reduced life and energy shield recovery per stack) Warning! Try to use the effect of these boots to finish a battle. Forbidden Flesh + Forbidden Flame (Jewel) You may use combination of these jewels to earn 5-th Ascendancy Notable. Prices for combinations are unpredicatbly change from league to league. Use information from the list below as a help information: * Searing Purity (general resolve problem of Chaos Resistance) * Sanctuary of Thought (gain additional ES from the rating of Mana and generally improves mana reservation and costing of skills) * Conviction of Power (grant 4 stable Power and Endurance charges; in that case, you will replace some gems, like "Assassin's Mark" to "Poacher's Mark") * Unwavering Crusade (undirectly buff, which provides chance to summon relic with auras, are affecting various elemental damage) * Augury of Penitence (directly buff; more elemental damage to enemies and less elemental damage taken for you) Focus From poewiki.net: "Focus is a skill granted by certain Veiled item modifiers". Focus has a base duration of 4 sec and cooldown time 8 sec (that time cannot be modified). I don't reccomend to use Hyperboreus (Belt) if you build item set around Focus, because Cyclopean Coil (Belt) provide more benefits for damage dealing.
