SKILLS

While you level can pick w/e you want like Arc, Spark, etc. I went Lightning Tendrils + Galvanic Field as a secondary damage dealing skill. Replica Dragonfang Amulet with +3 to Galvanic Field is also incredibly cheap which sealed the deal for me

At level 28+ I swapped to Divine Ire (of Holy Lightning) because I prefer to play main skill asap, otherwise it'd have been more efficient to continue using your leveling spell untill you can set up Cast While Channeling gem at the end of ACT 4

Divine Ire 6-link support progression: 
CwC > Bodyswap (lv 1) > Inspiration > Infused Channeling > Physical to Lightning. Swap Inspiration to Controlled Destruction (if using) Elemental Overload) or Critical Damage/Strikes later when or IF you can sustain mana with rings/passive tree.

Later on, Awakened Added Fire Damage support could serve as a replacement for the Physical to Lightning if you can get your phys lightning conversion capped through other sources, e.g. Eldritch Implicit on gloves, Gloves prefix, Lightning Mastery.

Auras:
Purity of Elements + Herald of Thunder is what I went with early. Once I had enough reservation efficiency I swapped HoT for Wrath. It's ok to postpone that change until you run 6-link / Physical to Lightning support.
Can also consider low level Clarity and/or Vitality in early game.

EQUIPMENT

Stash some +Intelligence items you find while leveling as you might not have enough INT for some good higher level wands you can find during campaign.

I'm a huge fan of Replica's Dragonfang Amulet so I go for it asap, first cheap one supporting my secondary damage dealing spell (Galvanic Field) for single target - later when I can afford it - for Divine Ire.
