Totem explode is probably NOT A SPELL OR ATTACK. We are not a DOT explode build like many poison builds out there. We are ON-HIT which means we can out-scale DOT builds but we need to keep throwing. Methods to scale damage for this build: 1. Conversion to cold 2. Elemental/cold damage 3. Crit via brittle, watcher's eye and generic crit chance (e.g. assassin's mark)+ multi 4. Trap-throw speed = dps + QOL Key Build Problems that all tudem explode builds need to solve if you want to both BOSS and MAP: 1. Mana - inquis solves this by going EB with inquisitor recovery on conc ground (e.g. PF goes replica sorrow of divine or burden of truth) 2. Damage - to go above and beyond with scaling, we go full cold conversion + brittle (e.g. PF goes poison chance and scale things like gain phys as chaos with mings/oblits) 3. Speed - Movement speed or movement skills. We go leap slam, but alternatives are 1H + shield charge may be faster for mapping. Other builds like PF have faster walking speed with flask effect 4. Clear - Most important for mapping is clear and to solve this will need some degree of explode. We use explode chest, I considered asenath glove but decided I lose too much defences and went explode chest. PF gets poison prolif/explode if using oblit 5. Survivability - Baseline requires some form of defences and we chose armour/eva/hybrid life+es/decent hybrid recovery. Armour/evasion is standard with determ/grace/defiance for mapping and the special tech is EB+MOM for mixed defences with glorious vanity for more max hit pool 6. Single target triggering - Trap trigger AOE + Divergent Cluster Traps for reduced trap spread for bossing Key Differences of Inquis vs PF 1. On-hit vs DOT - PF does not need to stand and dps. But we have higher burst window which after a certain point one-shots ubers which means PF doesn't really have an advantage here 2. Survivability - PF has better defences and the option to go phys as ele tech instead of hybrid + armour/evasion How to get started? Get an inquis, for budget/low level version 1. Dropping all jewels, don't really need them. 2. I recommend glorious vanity with cold conversion on tree OR cold mastery beside EB 3. To get brittle without hatred crit watcher's, use assassin's mark. Can get clunky on bosses so to pre-stack I use arcanist brand. 4. You just need 1, 300% explode weapon and a method to get Secrets of Suffering either alternating sceptre or interrogation jewel.
