EXCUSE ME - Please do not complain about the gear in this build. That is real garbage on a real garbage character, that's why it's there.
You do not need a 6-link for this build.
Some more optimal choices can be found in the gearing menu, but this build is largely experimental, so much of it should be taken with a grain of salt.
The DPS for this setup is very difficulty to calculate. Our greater scaling mechanisms are +all spell gems, corpse level, +fire gems, cast speed (up until 20 casts per second),
and mana efficiency (more mana is good, but reduced cost of skills starts to become good late because you want to keep the cost as close to 100 without going under).
AoE is pretty good, that's why we take Explosive Impact. More AoE may be better. Spiritual Aid is worth more than the minion damage we get incidentally; there's a solid
40% minion damage from our ascendancy minor nodes as well.
Clarity is good while leveling, but it should be dropped once you don't need it. Arcane Cloak is nice for burst, but probably outclassed by Molten Shell as your armor grows.
Ashes of the Stars is good for this build, the gem quality does great things for cast speed, and we have lots of primary gems to benefit from it in general. +1 all gems is also
just very strong considering the levels of our fire and physical gems are very important. Brass Dome is very strong on this build, as we don't get a ton of max res elsewhere
and elemental damage is weakness.
Recoup of Rings is amazing. Recoup in general is amazing. The 30% of damage mitigated by Mind Over Matter is still damage we take, so it's recouped as life.
+1 All Gems weapon with Fire Damage and Cast Speed is further into the area of an ideal main-hand for this build, on a scepter if possible. Secondary Damage on Volatile
Dead and Detonate Dead is not affected by Spell Damage, so it's less important. Minion Damage also counts as generic damage.
Going through to Annointed Flesh and mixing your pantheons bonuses to get Chill, Freeze, and SHock Immunity was something I planned on doing before being called away
this league by Elden Ring. I would have given up Lord of the Dead and its minor node to make this happen in a couple more levels.
Q. Why doesn't spiritual command also let minion cast speed affect us?
A. Minion Attack+Cast Speed crafted mod would be too strong.
Q. How much DPS do you *think* this build does?
A. Sometimes it kill enemies faster than my Dominating Blow build. Sometimes it's slower. Sometimes it's A LOT faster. I really don't know, but the chaos is fun.
This is an experimental build. It gets to high tier maps and farms them comfortably, so I'm happy to release it to the public because it's unique and fun to play. If you wish to take
it further, you are accepting the challenge of the unknown, but in my personal opinion this build absolutely has the foundation to go much, much higher than it is depicted here.
