Notes
HERALD OF THUNDER JUGG PROS - Tankier than 99% of HoT builds relative to currency invested - Good clear - Good boss DPS - Literally 1 button gaming - Can run increased crtical strike maps without being scared - IMO one of the funnest ways to play Path of Exile CONS - Requires lots of cluster jewels - Relies on Molten Shell which does not have 100% up time - Skill sockets, resistances and attributes very tight - Cannot run reflect, no leech, no regen, hexproof maps - Not cheap, not good league start TOTAL PRICE: Helmet - 2 divine (can be crafted) Staff - 1 divine Amulet - 1 divine Body Armour - 100c Rings - 1c each Gloves - 15c Belt - 100c Boots - 60c Flasks - 5 divine (bottled faith is most of this) Jewels - 1 divine Clusters - 6.75 divine (roughly 150c~ each) Golden Oil - 135c TOTAL: 17 divines~ CRAFTING NOTES: Boots: - Don't bother trying to find a pair of boots with armour, res, life and aspect of the spider. - Buy a pair of boots with armour, res and life. This will be significantly cheaper. Make sure it has an OPEN SUFFIX - Buy Fenimus beast, they were around 30c this league - Go to the menagerie and use Fenumus to put Aspect of the Spider on the boots. You can have a friend help you with this. Helmet: - Buy a decent base helmet (Royal Burgonet) with the enchant on it (Herald of Thunder has increased reservation efficiency) - Slam Essences of Dread until you get a decent roll - Craft whatever you are missing onto it - You can change the resistance type that is on your items. Harvest is very nice for this EXTRA NOTES: Build uses some lesser known mechanics so make sure you follow the build. This is includes: - Socketing Arrogance into an item with Aspect of the Spider to make Aspect of the Spider reserve life - Converting 40% of Physical Damage to Lightning Damage so we can clear easily with Asenaths Gentle Touch - Reserving 49% of our life so Petrified Blood enables us to have our leech effects not removed at full life - Swap to Oskarm gloves when doing bosses as you won't need the Temp Chains curse on bosses I spent a lot of time testing this stuff, and this iteration seems to be the best compromise of clear, damage, tank and QoL. You can tweak things to make it do more damage, or be better at mapping. You can also turn it into a Quin69 build if you really wanted and just make it giga tanky (Kingia :)). But this iteration sits in the middle with a little bit of everything. It feels great to play and you easily mitigate the damage taken from Storm Secret. The whole purpose of this build was to try and make an HoT build that was tanky. A lot of the HoT builds out there are glass cannons, squishy as fuck. Especially with Arch Nemisis in, having defenses is more important than ever unless you are getting extremely high damage numbers. I don't have the time to farm enough currency to make builds with extreme amounts of damage. Although 5m Shaper DPS is nothing to scoff at. Big shout outs to Bouture from Mooncord for helping me with this build and pushing it to be the best it can be. If you have suggestions or want to show me changes you've made, hit me up on Discord!
