Only included the very important stuff here regarding gems, there is a lot more useful things listed in the Skills dropdowns MULE RANGER! You want Momentum, Pierce and Sniper's Mark, to get these you need to do tidal islands and mud flats quests on ranger, grab a quicksilver too Check vendors, look for links + items below; can also buy a coral ring You are looking for a BBG linked armor piece to put spark in, BG minimum required to use spark because you need to have pierce linked to it You are also looking for G R R B B B sockets on other armor pieces for act 1 gems to help make leveling smooth, these dont need to be linked 2x Goat's Horns also useful for later, sockets dont matter - vendor can sell these straight away ideal axe base is rusted hatchet or boarding axe ideal sword base is whalebone rapier but rusted sword, sabre and rusted spike are only very slightly worse different weapon types are important for the dual wield mastery that gives 60% increase damage ------- ACT 1 Start with Rolling Magma + Arcane Surge After tidal island, get Arcane Surge, Holy Flame Totem and Frostblink quest rewards and buy Spark, Orb of Storms, Flame Wall and War Banner from Nessa At level 4 swap to Spark + Pierce (+ Arcane Surge) Throughout the campaign link Orb of Storms with whatever you can Use 2x Goat's Horns at level 7, sockets and links dont matter - DO NOT PUT MAIN GEMS HERE ONLY THINGS YOU ARE LEVELING FOR LATER AS YOU WILL MAKE USE OF WEAPON SWAPPING Make sure to have 8x Orbs of Transmutation by the time you kill Piety in act 3 MAKE GOOD USE OF WAR BANNER the adrenaline it gives is really good for killing early campaign bosses Snipers Mark > Orb of Storms > Holy Flame Totem > Fire Wall > DROP War Banner > spam Spark this will help you burst bosses extremely fast After Brutus 3link becomes: Spark + Pierce + Added Lightning Damage Look for an axe + sword while in early act1 for when you get leap slam after brutus (best bases listed at the top of the notes) MAKE SURE THEY BOTH HAVE OPEN PREFIX AND MAKE SURE ONE OF THEM HAS RG LINKED SOCKETS put Leap Slam + Momentum in your RG linked weapon You now spam Leap Slam + Frostblink for movement, and on bosses you will weapon swap to your wands for more damag -------- ACT 2 Kill all bandits Grab Herald of Thunder + Herald of Ice after you do sins and use them as soon as you can for a nice damage boost Also buy Wave of Conviction and use it on bosses Grab an Elemental Focus support from the weaver reward Use resistance rings + bench crafts for 1 transmute each to fix resistances if you need Keep an eye out for quartz wands you can use these until you spec dark arts + dualwield mastery once you spec dark arts + duel wielding mastery just use you axe + sword setup fulltime you can use the other weapon sockets for whatever gems you need to fit now level anything you need in the wands you had previously in weapon swap -------- ACT 3 When Holy Flame Totem and Flamewall start falling off in damage you can drop them in favour of just using Orb of Storms and Spark Grab Determination and Discipline in act3 Level Discipline somewhere, won't be using it for quite a while Swap your heralds for Determination when you start to feel squishy Use Elemental Focus as the 4th link on spark for now when you get a 4l !!!!8x Orbs of Transmutation REQUIRED!!!! After killing Piety, grab the crafting recipe, go to hideout, craft "Adds (1-4) to (39-42) Lightning Damage to Spells" on your axe and sword, you will use these for a long time, can throw a suffix on them with augments Fix resistances with whatever leftover transmutes you have !DO NOT TAKE MIND OVER MATTER UNTIL YOU HAVE ELDRITCH BATTERY! !DO NOT TAKE MIND OVER MATTER UNTIL YOU HAVE ELDRITCH BATTERY! !DO NOT TAKE MIND OVER MATTER UNTIL YOU HAVE ELDRITCH BATTERY! !DO NOT TAKE MIND OVER MATTER UNTIL YOU HAVE ELDRITCH BATTERY! ------- ACT 6 Get Pinpoint, Faster Projectiles, Haste and Grace from Lily, level Haste and Grace somewhere, they are for later Bunch of other gems you can buy now and start leveling, check the leveling after act 6 set in the skills dropdown Use Spark + Pierce + Pinpoint + Faster Projectiles as your 4 link now Set up up CWDT + Molten Shell as well now if you haven't Keep CWDT level 1 and Molten Shell level 10 Once you are EB + MOM drop War Banner and add Haste in (probably sometime around act7ish/cruel lab), grab the ES leech for 1 point right after Karui Sceptre (the best base because of attackspeed for leapslam) requires level 56, once you get one that is an upgrade you can instantly replace one of your weapons Once you get a 2nd good one then you can wear them both and drop the Dark Arts cluster and dual wielding mastery ------ MERC LAB Once you do merc lab make sure to take all the aura nodes including arcane capacitor + the MRE mastery and add in Grace + Discipline ------ ENDGAME NOTES Add in Defiance Banner once you take the last 8% MRE node on the tree (in the Influence wheel), might not be for a while Make sure to grab all the other gems you need to level before maps, if you have any extra space level some more sparks Drop EO once you craft a decent oscilating sceptre (requires heisting) - its a level 30 base so you can drop it in any ilvl Replicas or Experimented Items blueprint Keep hold of 4/5 passive projectile medium clusters and 8 passive lightning or elemental damage large clusters for later Annoint Fury Bolts early, this will also help with strength When you have some opalescent and decent ammulet annoint Longshot -------------------------------- BASIC CRAFTING GUIDE -------------------------------- RINGS Harvest reforge chaos or caster until you hit cast speed and chaos res, craft life AMULET Harvest reforge life or caster until you hit something good like life + cast speed + some resistances, craft proj/damage speed BODY ARMOR Early on just spam essences until you hit a chest with nice life + resists For a solid chest harvest reforge defense until you hit like t3+ flat es/armor and t3+ %increased es/armor and no life rolls, craft a suffix (probably spell suppression) - click 15% life mastery with no life modifiers on chest once you make this GLOVES, HELM, BOOTS Spam essences and harvest reforge life until you hit good life + suppression and hopefully a resist, craft a suffix that you need like hybrid ele res+chaos res On boots do the same thing but you need an open prefix to craft movespeed + onslaught on kill instead of a suffix BELT Spam essences / harvest reforge chaos or life until you hit something with life and resists, craft 150ES regen when rare nearby suffix SCEPTRES Spam essence of woe / essence of torment until you hit both good lightning damage to spells and spell damage/lightning damage then craft cast speed ----------------------------------------------------------- HOW TO CRAFT BIG BOY SCEPTRES MINIMUM 9 DIVINES + 1 REDEEMER EX EACH ----------------------------------------------------------- STEP 1 Ideally ilvl 84 Karui Sceptre, but ilvl 74+ is accepable for your Oscillating Sceptre Spam shrieking or deafening essences of woe and torment until you hit BOTH T1/T2 Spell Damage or Lightning Damage T1/T2 Adds Lightning Damage to Spells STEP 2 You need an open prefix and open suffix, use annuls if needed, if you get rid of one of the mods above then have to go back to STEP 1 craft prefixes cannot be changed > scour to clear the suffixes once you have an open prefix and open suffix STEP 3 craft multimod craft prefixes cannot be changed craft cannot roll attack mods harvest augment lightning > gaurenteed +1 to level of lightning skill gems You now have a sceptre with T1/T2 Spell Damage or Lightning Damage T1/T2 Adds Lightning Damage to Spells +1 to level of Lightning Skill Gems and empty suffixes STEP 4 craft prefixes cannot be changed aisling slam unveil and you are looking for one of: % chance to deal double damage % chance to deal double damage while focused % cast speed + arcane surge on kill if you miss the aisling, then you have to craft prefixes cannot be changed again, scour, then repeat STEP 4 (can get expensive) STEP 5 slam a redeemer exalt bad outcomes Hatred has #% increased Aura Effect #% chance to inflict Cold Exposure on Hit decent outcomes #% increased Cast Speed if you've Killed Recently #% increased Movement Speed if you've Hit an Enemy Recently best outcomes Auras from your Skills grant #% increased Damage to you and Allies Spells have a #% chance to deal Double Damage you accept whatever you hit at this point, its not worth recrafting STEP 5 now craft whichever suffix you missed on the unveil between cast speed or a double damage mod (whichever you prefer, I like double damage while focused the most) ================================================ EXAMPLE GOOD CRAFTED SCEPTRE 106(100-109)% increased Spell Damage +1 to Level of all Lightning Spell Skill Gems Adds 4(4-14) to 170(170-179) Lightning Damage to Spells 18(18-20)% chance to deal Double Damage while Focused Spells have a 6(6-7)% chance to deal Double Damage 21(18-21)% increased Cast Speed ===============================================
