Notes
Notes: Idk Hi y'all lol. Rare gear is 1div ish stuff with some eldtriches added, easy enough to craft, no fancy synths or anything so you can def do better, mostly was just playing around with implicits and filling out rares. Most important ones are mana res, scorch, and getting some igni prolif somehwere - bereks, glove implicit, runesmithing, ignite prolif gem, whatever. Like i said, unsure about best suppots vis-a-vis controlled blaze, but there's a lot of good options. I have 20/20 stuff just for testing, so feel free to take ~15% DPS off the top, but I think the POB still underestimates the damage based on how the build can easily max roll an ignite. The POB states the average hit at 140K, with a range of 15K-264K. However, since you're hitting 5+ times per second (minimum), you're easily going to get to the high range of that for your ten second ignite, potentially increasing DPS by ~90%. TLDR on ignites: you can inflict a ton, but they are treated as "debuffs" and the ONLY largest one does damage. Basically, we're rerolling with every step to get a larger igni, and because we run so fast, we should be triggering ignites in the higher end of this range very often, meaningfully increasing DPS from what we see here. Also why the "timed" buffs like magmatic strikes aren't totally cheating, our igni lasts longer than the downtime. I've yet to be able to go really crazy, but I think ~10M ignite dps is very doable, and I wouldn't be surprised if you could hit 15M with the right items/supports/skill timers/good clusters. It hasn't been an issue yet, but mana sustain with soul catcher could* be weird at higher levels if you're spamming arcanist brand. If so, you can debate doing impure blood and taking off depose order. It's possible - esp with flasks - but you'd have a one second window to generate the souls needed for Vaal EQ. It's definitely doable, but I just find it comfier to have the downtime. Shepherd of souls also doesn't seem to be decreasing the cost properly in POB, in reality it feels like you need to kill 4-5 mobs to get it back up, very easy. As you can see, I used to have lifetap on most of the other buttons, but I found it wasn't really necessary, so I took some off. Either way, you have some open skill gems and other options, so i don't think it's a major concern. Soul catcher is very easy to keep up while mapping and is ~10% of the damage, but it likely wouldn't be up all the time during some pinnacle boss fights, so feel free to take it off. At higher levels, you could use a bottled faith for supa damage, or just a good ol sulphur. Or be silly and use a vinktar, idk, the world's your oyster. You could also try and figure out a way to get Eldritch battery into the build, but tbh i've yet to have an actual problem with mana so I might be worrying about nothing. General info on vaal eq - your hit rate is tied to movement speed, not attack speed. At 200+ MS you're hitting A LOT, which is why the ryslatha/volatility/max attack damage combo is being used. Since you're basically just rolling until you get the highest ignite, you're likely going to hit some high numbers - I believe the actual damage is higher than the POB indicates since it's so easy to "max roll" an ignite. This is also why I use Maro Erqi and don't have 100% igni chance. You hit so many times it feels a bit unneeded to invest that hard into 100% ignite. I've seen stuff online that suggests ~165% movespeed is the cap for peak damage as it may be similar to Abberath's hooves, but I honestly can't tell if this is true or not. If it is, just change the QS flask into an armor one, which would make you even tankier with how consistent your MS is. Vaal skills also generate one charge per 2% of boss life taken, but only one time. AKA - if Sirus heals from 25 to 75, you don't get more souls for taking him back from 75 down to 25 again. This seems to be boosted by the passives that say additional soul on kill, but honestly idk. Either way, your EQ lasts 23 seconds, and you only need to generate ~5 charges? Haven't had any issues yet. Not to mention soul ripper. The Pious Path/Rational Doctrine setup is to get perma consec ground for big regen + consistent everlasting sacrifice for the +5% res. If you can fit in eldritch battery, probs not needed. TBH im not using this now either, since during mapping it tends not to matter, and most bosses dont hit you frequently enough that the buff has material downtime. Vaal Arctic Armour lets you eat maven brain, which is fun. All that said: It's a pretty simple autobomber. Maps might start a bit odd as you use one normal EQ and then walk backwards to get an enemy to hit them, but as soon as you can pop vaal eq, you pretty much just run in a line and nuke the screen. Phase run and MS are set to run automatically, so that's zero buttons. VMS is not used, but giving it the vaal tag makes it so that it gets the +3 levels - same as vaal haste, although I suppose if you want the extra burst of running real fast, vaal haste is very fun. I do not have a movement skill slotted bc you're running so fast it didn't feel like it mattered, but you can easily throw a flame dash in your gloves for when need be. Vaal AA is your emergency "oh crap" button, or the way you intentionally tank maven memory game/sirus meteor lol. Arcanist brand is thrown at big rares, and infernal cry is similarly a buff for adding a bit of juice. The gameplay loop is basically Vaal EQ - zoom - throw arc brand at rare - keep running - make sure loot filter is on so you can hear stuff drop. Not very button heavy, which was my intention. Lvl 100 is just to test pathing for optimization, to take it down to a more reasonable 95 you'd take off the reservation masteries on bottom left and top, probs the extra damage masteries in the bottom left fire node, the fire exposure mastery, or maybe some of the bottom left life wheel. Whatever you want.
