Notes

Key STARTER points:

1) The forbidden flame/flesh combo allows for a VERY easy crit cap against MOST enemies. **This cost me 16c.**

2) The Glorious Vanity gives my chaos damage life leech and increased damage, but also makes 50% of all ele hits get taken as Chaos damage.
Adding another 5% to max Chaos resistance along the way. **50c**

3) Maw of conquest makes me unaffected by poison, this allows me to use Golden Rule to jack up my chaos res easily and cheaply from the moment I hit maps.
They can be capped easily by switching "loose" gear to decent rares. With the enchant it cost me **10c**

4) Two options for shield, Saffell's frame is better overall, but if you keep running maw of conquest/tainted pact you can go for Apep's Supremacy, which gives max chaos res, bleeding taken as chaos damage, and flat chaos added to all attacks and spells.
Saffel 10-15c, apep is closer to 50c

5) For boots, I take replica red trailreplica red trail for loads of life, armour, movespeed, power charge generation, and more sources of getting poison stacks on myself.
Temptation step is also worth a go for the increased chaos damage, chaos res and 50% increased movespeed. You will want the life however. Either of these should cost you around **5-10c**

6) For body armour I'd just get an armour or armour/es base with 6 white links and throw on some essences for crafting. Mine cost about 40c to get and craft.
If and when you want to go for a unique I'd suggest Death's oath for great overall stats (as well as another 450 life regen per second with tainted pact) or belly of the beast for the massive life increase.
These are strength bases, so horrible to off-colour unless corrupted!

7) For gloves you can play with Fenumus for Aspect of the Spider, great up to yellow maps.
Replica Volkuur's Guidance are a great alternative if you don't want to go for aspect of the spider. They grant good life, chaos res, and a bunch of damage too.
ffering to the Serpent are actually really good all-rounders, and core if you do want to mess around with Tainted Pact/self-poison without the unaffected element.
You might be able to get it working somehow! Realistically will cost you around 10-15c for one of these.

8) Arakaali's fang is core to this build and more than doubles our DPS. Getting withering touch support, faster attacks, and shield charge on the links means that you can have 20 spiders dealing massive damage and inflicting wither every time. 35-50c

9) You have some ring options to consider while levelling, icefang orbit and Circle of Nostalgia are likely the best, but need to be replaced by decent rares early. You should be able to get what you need for maybe 20-30c

10) Belt is completely loose, but you'll likely need this for life, ele res, and perhaps armour. free choice on this one.

11) FLASKS ARE IMPORTANT
You will want 15% of Damage Taken from Hits is Leeched as Life during Effect on these to keep your leech up basically permanently.
Put that on a bismuth flask for the highest uptime.
Next best options are the ele flasks, but you should consider Ruby to accomodate the endgame setup which ignores cold and lightning res.

When you are resistance-capped, swap out for whatever you need.
Some flasks are more charge-efficient than others, Quicksilver, Diamond, or Granite
All flasks should start with for "chance to gain flask charges when you deal a critical strike"
Later on you will want to gain flask charges on crit through the relevant watcher's eye mod.

Other valuable effects can include Spell Damage leeched as ES, which will be all you should need to cover your "mana" costs until you're crit-capped.
At that point, getting instant leech from the Mastery will be ideal and will work for most setups if you have enough ES.

Pick up a veiled cinderswallow flask if you want to do this yourself, 30-50c depending on the point in the league, or get a guildie to help...

Later you'll want to get the "flask charges on critical strike while affected by precision" mod on your watcher's eye.
You can then aim for a "Reduced Charges Used" or "increased duration" prefix on your flasks.

ALL IN ALL YOU ARE LOOKING AT CIRCA 300C TOTAL TO GET THIS GOING

TRADE TIPS:

Watchlist every item on the list and buy them cheap.

This includes ilvl 50-67 12% increased Chaos Damage large cluster jewels with no more than 8 passives.

ilvl 50-67 10% increased Damage over Time with 5 or less passives

ilvl 1-49 10% increased projectile damage with 5 or less passives

WHY DETONATE DEAD CWDT?

I always thought that running Forbidden Rite without exploiting the self-damage is wasteful.

Important notes:

Monster base life is

lvl 83 15,319
lvl 84 16,265
lvl 85 17,268

Magic Monsters have +1 level and +75% max life
Rare Monsters have +2 levels and +100% max life

On a t16 map, normal monsters will have at least 15,319 life
Magic Monsters will have at least 28,463 life
Rare Monsters will have at least 34,536 life

Some monster modifiers will increase their life, including (hidden) modifiers.
That includes 148% more maximum Life on magic monsters and 390% more maximum Life on rare monsters.

Magic monsters will then have 70,588 life
Rare monsters will then have 169,226 life

Empowering, Fecund, and Powerful minions will all increase monster life.

This means that a detonate dead on a 70k life enemy will generate an average hit of 77k, which is higher than a single Forbidden Rite projectile.
Effectively, this equates to an additional FR projectile PER enemy killed, and more if you kill a tanky rare.
Importantly, this magnifies your clear speed for large packs, which is a massive boon for running dense content like logbooks.

TIPS TO CORRECTLY USE THIS POB

1) Plague bearer deals 149,400 damage per second at level 22, which POB can't yet reflect in the full DPS numbers.
2) Enemy at Full or Low life will boost your damage significantly, but this will only be relevant when you first hit a pack, or when finishing them off.
