TRICKSTER VS ELEMENTALIST

TRICKSTER is quite a bit tankier, especially early on when compared to Elementalist, you just need a decent chest for good ES. However compared to Elementalist guaranteed shocks Trickster struggles quite a lot with early shock %.

HOW SHOCK WORKS

AS ELEMENTALIST you are scaling the minimum 15% shock value, what does this MEAN!? Once you get 320% effect of ailments+lightning ailments you have a shock of 65% on ANY monster regardless of how much damage you deal. This is why
elementalist uses Unbound Ailments, and not Overcharged support.

AS TRICKSTER you do not have a minimum shock value to scale, so you are completely reliant of the AMOUNT of damage you deal. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?! You have to worry about the amount of damage your shocking skill in order to reach
the highest % on big bosses. This is why we use Overcharged Support. 

Shocking from damage value has the downside of taking a bit longer to scale since there is so many more ways to increase hit damage, but eventually you can even shock Ubers for 65% with enough gear.

WHY ORB OF STORMS?!

A lot of people have asked me why not Hydrosphere or Storm Brand, or even CWC Divine Ire. This should be obvious now that I've explained how we shock in this build but basically Orb of Storms hits much harder than any of these skills do and
I personally think its the best one mechnically - as a tanky Trickster we don't really mind standing near the boss. This does mean however that Elementalist is a lot more versatile in the choice of shocking skill.

ORB OF STORMS LINKS

I tried out quite a lot of different set-ups for OOS. But basically OOS+Elemental Proliferation+Increased Area of Effect+Overcharged ended up feeling the best for mapping. The reason for this is because not only doing INC AOE increase
how big the Orb is but it also increases the radius of the Prolif from the gem. For whatever reason it does not scale the tree prolif. We also use Chain Mastery for Orb.

FOR SINGLE TARGET

Since we rely on high damage for shocks, we can swap out Ele Prolif / INC AOE on bigger bosses for gems that will increase the Orb damage more - such as Lightning PEN or Added Lightning.

CRIT VS NON-CRIT

I still believe crit to be the way to scale super end-game but it is quite hard to get there - I still haven't respecced yet even. You really need good crit multi neck, crit shield, crit weapon, and good multi jewels.

ELEMENTAL OVERLOAD

You might be wondering, WHY IS MY EO never up on Lightning Conduit!? This is because it either crits the entire cast or doesn't at all, which means you need quite a bit of crit to have good EO uptime, this means that the crit mastery and some crit 
chance on gear goes a long way for maintaining it.

BRITTLE OR SCORCHED BOOTS

This is one of the main ways we increase our damage (I don't have it yet) we are already scaling ailment effect, and we are already in melee range, both of these are extremely good. (ideally you get a higher duration one for QOL)

THUNDERFIST

These are EXTREMELY good for doing bosses on Trickster, they make your Orb deal quite a lot more damage, but also have a ton of ailment effect.

THE VERTEX

This allows you to run Divine Blessing + INSPIRATION + Aura and have an almost free to cast Aura. It's a lot of damage. I recommend dropping Wave of Conviction + Hextouch / possibly use an Unset Ring for links. You can get Lightning Exposure from
either glove implicit or Awakened Lightning Pen.
