Notes
Notes ----------------- - I league started with this build and scaled it up over time. Nothing is absolutely essential, but there are a few pieces that are worth aiming for as you go. - Use Sand stance while mapping (extra Area of Effect is huge) - Use Blood stance for bosses and chonky rares (30% more damage) - If you do NOT have the mana reservation efficiency to sustain auto-exerting 3 war cries, then just drop Infernal Cry. We don't need it, it just juices Overexertion DPS. - Similarly, if you don't have enough sockets, ditch Rallying Cry. This is the same concept - we do not care about the gem itself, just using it for Overexertion DPS. - Keep war cries up to boost damage with overexertion, and Ice Crash to clear screens. Enduring Cry is great, make sure to weave it in. - As we auto-exert 3 war cries, you only need to refresh Battlemage's Cry and Rallying Cry, which each exert 6 attacks! So not needing to use these often. - You can take the War Cry mastery 'War cries cannot exert travel skills' while levelling. If you can get this on a piece of gear (rings/belt) later on, even better - this frees up the passive point for a better mastery. Gems ----------------- - Ice Crash + Cold Penetration + Elemental Damage with Attacks + Fist of War + Overexertion + Pulverise - Intimidating Cry + Seismic Cry + Infernal Cry + Autoexertion - Enduring Cry - Cast When Damage Taken + Molten Shell + Blood Rage - Leap Slam + Faster Attacks - Hatred - Precision + Arrogance - Blood and Sand Dual Curse Setup Gems ----------------- - Battlemage's Cry + Frostbite + Urgent Orders + Rallying Cry - Note: These gems require Whispers of Doom annointed on your amulet first, in order to apply two curses (the other being Assassin's Mark from the Oskarm unique gloves) Ascendancies ----------------- - LEVELLING: Undeniable / Unflinching / Unrelenting / Unyielding - This gets you accuracy (huge DPS increase), then lots of defences, then more DPS - ENDGAME: Unstoppable, Unflinching / Unrelenting / Unbreakable - Only swap Undeniable out when you can guarantee 100% hit chance without it. - Only take Unstoppable if you are NOT using Kaom's Roots. If you do use Kaom's Roots, take Unyielding instead for more DPS. Gear ----------------- - Fleshripper axe with as much Phys dps as possible (for the implicit 50% crit chance) - Rare gear with as much armour, life and resists as possible. Later on get eldritch implicits for boosting damage and survivability - Endgame: Jewels with as MUCH crit multiplier as possible. Best case 4 mods with crit multi, but very expensive. I don't have any of these yet. Unique Gear ----------------- - Kaoms Roots - Great first budget unique while levelling, some still use this right through to endgame IF not using dual curse set up. - If you do go with these, get the Corruption for +1 endurance charges. You can also swap the 'Unstoppable' ascendancy for something else. - Oskarm Nubuck Gloves - Our way of getting a nice amount of crit and accuracy, and applying assassin's mark to targets that need it (any rare or unique enemies) - Pandemonius - Likely your first big purchase of the build, offers a great defensive layer in blinding and chilling enemies on hit, and slowing their action speed by 30%. ALWAYS. - Really huge amulet, but any rare with a cheap annointment while gearing up does the job Flasks ----------------- - Life Flask with instant recovery for dicey situations - Diamond Flask for crit chance - Taste of Hate for more cold DPS - The Wise Oak with uncapped cold resist highest for more DPS and penetration - Lion's Roar for defences
