I have used Reap as a way to simulate this builds dps Steps used to calculate damage: 1. Base damage of skill Damage = Totem life * Damage multiplier * totems / second Totem life = 5071 (from totem life in Calcs, however, this does not include the 25% reduced from the crucible tree) Actual Totem life = Base * totem multi * (increased - decreased) -> 1478 * 1.2 * (2.86 - .25) = 4629 (numbers from Devouring totem calcs) Damage multiplier is 6, as the totem does 600% of its base health as damage from crucible mod totems / second = traps per cast * trap throwing speed * totems per trap traps per cast = 5 (1 base + 2 multi trap + 2 cluster trap) trap throwing speed = 3.15 per second (number from Devouring totem calcs) totems per trap = 2 (from multi totem support) totems / second = 5 * 3.15 * 2 = 31.5 2. Simulate with Reap We need to set Reap's base hit to be equal to the totems base hit Reap base hit = 943 to 1414 Totem base hit = Totem life * Damage multiplier = 4629 * 6 = 27774 Now we add phys damage to reap to make it deal that much damage Reap added damage = Totem base hit - Reap base hit -> 27774 - (943 to 1414) = 26360 to 26831 Reap has an added damage effectiveness of 210%, so we need to account for that as well Reap modified damage = Reap added damage / damage effectiveness -> 26360 to 26831 / 2.1 = 12552 to 12776 We put this in the configs as adds 12552 to 12776 physical damage to spells Thats the hit per totem, but we need to account for all our totems, so we increase the attack speed to be equal to the totems per second Reap cast speed * modified cast speed = totems per second -> modified cast speed = 31.5 / 1.54 = 20.45 We put this in the configs as 2045% more cast speed We can crit with stuff like assassin's mark and brittle, but I want to make this simpler and ignore crit as well as getting rid of any crits reap gets We put this in the configs as Never deal critical strikes Reap has a DoT, our totems do not have one (I am ignoring any ignites we may do, go play Elementailist for ignite totems) We put this in the configs as Deal 100% less damage over time My staff has 75% increased spell damage, but our damage is not a spell, so it should not include this buff We put this in the configs as 75% reduced spell damage Now we can use Reap to simulate our average hit and DPS I may have missed some things or done so calcs wrong, but this should give a good estimate of our damage. Need to be careful to account for any differences between actual spells and the non attack non-spell non-skill non-totem totem explosion this build does Misc Thoughts Next upgrade is probably upgrading boots / gloves / ring / amulet for better stuff Getting gloves / boots with abyss socket can give more spirit charges for more damage, have 2 open sockets as well Assassin's mark not that great, but the other marks also kinda suck. Got it mainly for mark mastery for polymath Could try to get Harness the Void flesh and flame, but need to get better choas res reduction / pen to be worth it, only about 10% more damage right now
